oops - my Shelton notes are a mess
Lydia's father, of what I have is James Shelton who was born around 1813 in VA - somewhere I found that he is buried in Travis Co., TX - since, if I have the right James, he was 66 in 1880.

Do I have this right? my note to you about William Shelton, born 1804 would obviously not be his father but maybe an older brother?

Your views, dear cousin :)

The Sheltons
I realize in my notebook that I have been creating for my cousin that Lydia is a GG grandmother of his...Her parents are my cousins GGG grandparents James Shelton and Minerva Thomas...I see that my data is lacking - Minerva 'appears' to be James' second wife. I have the 1850 and 1860 that lists James, Leticia (first wife?)and family; 1870 lists 'Jas' and Minerva and family; and 1880 lists James, Lydia (a third wife?)and family (including daughter Lydia, age 12).

My email address is zoomie2k(AT)hotmail(dot)com

I would love to find out who James' parents were along with any data you may have on Minerva Thomas :)

Pretty please? LOL
Regards, Carl

Maxwells at Union
Hello, My husband is the son of Adrian and Patty Benedum Maxwell. We are from Dennison originally but have moved away to Virginia, We come back to Ohio a couple times a year. I have copies of the entire Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville and also Gradenhutten records. I am in the process of digitizing them, one to preserve them, and second eventually we are going to sell copies on DVDS, you are talking 1800 and up for Gnadenhutten and 1821 for Union in Uhrichsville.

How are you related to the Maxwell line? I have a very large database on the Maxwell and adjoining lines, I will gladly share what I have. I do genealogy as a profession, having been doing it for over 40 years. If you or someone you know needs help, please ask.

We came 560 miles to do this and this trip was fantastic.

RE: David McNary
Thanks, I appreciate the response! According to some background data I had, the information came from a Samuel McMillan manuscript, if that is of any help. If he turns out to be at Oak Springs after all, I will be happy to assume mgmt, if you are not a McNary descendant. I have bio information which I can add, plus linking him to parents, spouse and children.
Cheers! Nancy

Jesse O. Terrell
There are 2 entries for the above in Lucas County, Iowa. The one at Zion Cemetery is the right entry. The gal said that it was not to be confused with Mt. Zion Cemetery in the same county. I requested a photo from your entry instead of the other and so the reason she contacted me. Roberta

RE: Connell family pictures
My husband is related thru Serilda Clementine Connell daughter of James A. Connell son of William M. Connell.
I received a notification yesterday from ancestry.com that the photos of the headstones are copyrighted and can't be copied. They made me take them off my ancestry tree. Just would like to find out who is the original photographer so I can get permission to use them. Would love to share any info or pictures with you if you are interested.

I'm looling for the graves listed above in the Clyde Cemetery for you but the funeral home does not have any information on them. It's not unusual to run into this problem. I'll keep checking other locations but wanted to know if you might have more info on where in the cemetery they might be. It's a large cemetery in two location. Any info may help me locate them for you. Debbie

Margaret AND Robert Shelton
I was delighted to find that Robert and Margaret share a headstone. You will want to edit the text of Robert's memorial page to delete the line about him not being there.

It was a real adventure today...ending with a dead car battery in the middle of the cemetery 25 miles from home, LOL. It started when I was directed by a city employee at City Hall to a totally different section of the cemetery and found them by accident after searching for an hour where I had been told they were. They must have wanted to be found.

Margaret and Robert share a headstone. They are in the REAR section of the IOOF cemetery in Elma. See location shot.

Finding them BOTH after seeing that someone had reported that Robert wasn't there made the whole thing worthwhile! It's a lovely headstone.

Chartiers Cemetery
Edward Phillips
Soldiers, Tier 1, Grave 4 OR 42 (hard to read)

Anna Phillips
Division 3, Tier 9, Grave 18

Elijah Phillips
DNG Tier 15, Grave 6

I had the office check since they were running a bunch of names for me, and I just slipped some extras in... Anyway, if no one shoots the picture for you before I go up, I'll claim it when I go, about the 15th or so of August.

Other requests
No problem, I tried to take care of your other requests from the Bloomingdale cemetery, but I could not find them. I went to the Library in Steubenville today and I found where Margaret Moore and Harold Moore are located and I should have those for you in the next few days. But Lewis McGrail and Luella McMillen are not listed in that cemetery. I was looking at the book for Bloomingdale cemetery. Not sure about all this, but maybe you can recheck your records just to make sure we have the right information. Let me know what you find out, because now I want to find them to.

Cemetery is hard to work
I was on my way from Lexington back to BHam. This cemetery is owned by the city and many of the sections are not marked, so one prob has to go to City Hall and find a plot map for most of the requests, I just could not find them on foot.
