I see you have Phoebe McVay's parents listed as John McVay and Elizabeth Parson Smith.
Do you have any documentation for this?
Her brother George McVay is my 2nd great grandfather, and I have not been able to find anything documenting who his parents were.

Thank you for posting all of this.

More info on Kingleys, Lee & Palenkas
I found an OCR version of The Belleville Telescope, in which I found a couple of fragments of info about this train wreck and these three men. Here you go:

The Belleville Telescope, 7 Aug 1930

(Headline) Cause of Wreck Said To Be "Sun-Kink" In Rails, Resulting From Extreme Heat of the Day Train Crew Uninjured Cars of Grain Are Piled Up and Track Is Badly Twisted Depot Might Have Been Destroyed.

(Portion of Page 1) Three men were killed and two were injured when Rock Island freight number 994 ditched fourteen cars at Agenda Sunday afternoon. The dead were unidentified, but according to the two injured companions, had been employed by the Sells-Floto circus, which played at Smith Center Saturday.

(Portion from Page 4) Identification of the three men killed in the freight train wreck at Agenda Sunday was believed to have been made late yesterday, according to Bachelor & Faulkner, undertakers, who have been following clues which might lead to identify since the accident Sunday. A membership card of Moose Lodge, No. 3, Chicago, was found in a bloody pocket which had been torn away from the clothes of one man. The card bore the name of Fred Kingsley, which is considered tentative identification. Geo. 0. Faulkner made a trip to Agenda again yesterday and in a second search of the death scene he found parts of an old coat, a pocket of which contained an express receipt bearing a name and address, Myron Lee, Osawatomie, Kan. This tallied with other information which had been previously gathered. The third man was identified as George Palenkas, Mansfield, Ohio, from information obtained through the Sells-Floto circus with which he had been employed.

I just sent you SACs on these three men -- who were all killed in a train wreck in 1930.

Curiously, their shared grave is in the farthest northeast corner of the cemetery, tucked between the driveway and the fence. No wonder there had been no photo of it before!

RE: Rosa May Warburton
You mentioned a list the cemetery posted. Where did you find that list? I am wanting to find the burial place of an aunt and her husband and am considering making a trip to that area to do research, but if there is a way to find info online, that would save me some time. Do you have lists of other cemeteries?
I mentioned that I had Rosa May in my family tree. I am wondering if she is buried under the name Warburton if she might have been adopted by her sister Rachel and Rachel's husband George Warburton. Thanks for the help. I hope we can solve this.

Rosa May Warburton
I am wondering how you came up with the last name of Warburton for this memorial:# 87818272. I have her in my tree on as Rachel's sister with the last name Kramer. Are they buried next to each other? I can see how you would have gotten the idea if that is the case. I am going to request an edit through her memorial page. I was wondering how I could have not found a Warburton that was buried in that cemetery. Warburton is my mother's family name. Thanks

Reminder for Carrie & Cornelius Mershon
Can you please call the cemetery and obtain the grave location (Section & Lot numbers) and ask them whether or not there is a grave marker?

Forest Home Cemetery: 708-366-1900 or 773-287-0772

This cemetery will not assist photo volunteers with finding the grave's location and the Find A Grave FAQs (Help File) states it is the photo requestors job to provide this information.

Thank you! Ace

Hi! Can you please call the cemetery and obtain the grave location (Section & Lot numbers) and ask them whether or not there is a grave marker? Please post this information to the memorial or send it to me.

Forest Home is a huge cemetery with well over 70,000 burials, and the information is needed in order to find someone there. I go here regularly, and since August I have found over 150 graves that had the location information provided. Thank you! Ace

I saw that you have a couple of photo requests for Forest Home Cemetery in Cook County,IL.

If you can call the cemetery office and get the location of the headstones, I am happy to look for them. It's a big old cemetery, but the sections are well marked.

Take care.

My pleasure... anytime I can do something to honor the memory of someone who served our country, I try my best to do it. This request was easier than some, since you were so kind as to position the marker for me. Danke! "PJ"
