Robert Joseph Sindberg
Hi Dawn, I'm searching for Robert Joseph Sindberg, the brother of Warren John Sindberg. You had just transferred Warren to me, so I thought maybe you have access to Pine Lawn Cemetery records. Robert died on 22 March 2002 in Manitowish Waters. He was born 22 April 1937. Suggestions please. Jim Sindberg 51980495.

RE RE Danish Kin
Hi Dawn.
Yuland is most likely Jutland, the peninsula bounded by Germany to the south and the North Sea to the west. There were well over a hundred Christensens born every year. The ending "son" is not the usual Danish spelling. "Son" is more Swedish or Norwegen. Christensen is a patronimic name, not a proper surname. It means son of Christen. His Father's first name would be Christen, but the last name could be something else. The key to Danish genealogy is finding one person's name and where (the parish) they lived. The Danes kept very complete records, not the caos we have in USA. Goog luck, Jim

Danish Kin
Hi Dawn, I see you have an Andrew Christensen of Denmark listed. He does not seem to be related to me. Do you know where in Denmark he immigrated from? Do you know when? I lived 2 years in DK and did a lot of research at their archives. I returned to USA in 1998 and do on-line research into the Danish archives. The Danes are super organized, so research is fairly easy. But you need to know from which parish your Dane came from. If I can be any help, just ask. Jim Sindberg

Oak Hill Cemetery

I am trying to clear up some Memorial at OHC and found (2) for Wilhelmine Wendt, #15578978 (Sep 01, 2006) and #15570128 (Aug 31, 2006). Same dates.

I am referring to memorial # 15578687, I believe it should be deleted.

Added by tango13 on Jul 02, 2015 7:51 AM

Dawn, I believe this is a duplicate of memorial # 32418143 due to the misspelling of the last name.

Did you ever get the information about my grandmother Roxie Virginia Owens Brown that you were asking about? I am happy to share anything I have with you.

John Mattise / Miller Cem
Hi Dawn,

I saw your request for a photo of John's marker in Miller Cemetery. I believe the record is incorrect. John's wife Florence is there, but he isn't. There's another memorial for John (105808657) that has him in St Cyril Cemetery in Peckville. Perhaps you could work with the owner of that memorial to consolidate and delete one of the entries?

RE: Erwin Miller in Miller Cemetery
Hello Dawn,

I have posted the pictures for Erwin as requested. I have photos of another grave to the left of Erwin's that says "BABY 1935". Could this be the Selma Miller mentioned on F-A-G under this cemetery. If so, is she Erwin's sister and daughter of Melvin and Beatrice?

Best regards,

Erwin Miller in Miller Cemetery
Hello Dawn,

You have requested a photo of Erwin Miller's stone in the Miller Cemetery in Lackawanna county, Pennsylvania. I think I have found this stone, but it is marked "Baby 1927" and is placed near two Miller's that are probably the baby's parents. Could you please confirm that Erwin's parents are Melvin R. Miller (1893-1953) and Beatrice B. Miller (1891-1957)

Best regards,

Florian Mathia, Jr.
I'm sorry to report the sad news that he is in an unmarked grave. I posted a picture of the spot, and under the caption put the names of the two children next to him. I did look up his parents and found them in another section--I made memorials, so I will send you an edit so they can be linked. (I double-checked the exact location, by looking up the two others on the Archdiocese website to see their numbers, so there is no doubt that is the exact spot)
Good Luck,

I'd love to exchange data. Are you closely related to Wilmer Atkinson Tillinghast? If so, we're relatively close cousins (Wilmer, Sr. was my great-grandfather; Wilmer, Jr. of course was my great-uncle). If you're a Tillinghast but not closely related to Wilmer, I'm pretty sure we're still cousins! Feel free to email tctill @

Elizabeth Farrell Woodlawn cemetery NY
Do you have any more information on her? I was looking at an online source to see if records for her being there existed before I went up to the office to find plot information. This is a very large cemetery. As of this point, no record of her being there is on line. I also saw that she died in CA. Perhaps there is another woodlawn cemetery she is buried in? If she is, by your record, indeed in this cemetery I will do my best to locate her.

RE: Tonkin Surname
Dawn; Thank you for your message. My wife's maiden name was Snover. Rollin 53841520 & Dorothy 53841685 Tonkin were her Uncle & Aunt. All the other Tonkin's I made memorials for probably related to them in some way. I did create a brief family history so if you have any questions feel free to ask. Regards...Don Short

James and Mary Jane Ross
Hi Dawn -- There are duplicate records for James in Greenwood Cemetery (122047453 and 122047457). Could you delete one of those? There are also duplicates for Mary Jane (54770922 and 122047069), but this situation is a bit trickier to resolve. You own only the latter entry. The other entry was done earlier, so from that perspective you should probably delete yours. However, your information is more complete, so I'd hate to see that lost. How do you want to proceed on this one?

No problem, the cemetery is only 5 miles from our farm, in the closest town that I go to 3 times a week.
