Hello Ms. Prairie, I don't know the wherefores of the Manilla Cemetery but many of the the American Cemeteries in Europe have an adoption process. That may be why your uncle had flowers on his grave. You might contact the Sexton of the Cemetery and ask if there is an adoption process at that cemetery. If they do have the adoption process, I don't know if the Sexton would know who the adopter is, but she/he may. Worth a shot.
Also, you messaged me a long time ago about the request I made for a photo of a family member who is remembered on the Tablets of the Missing and told me you were going there in September and asked if I would like a photo and I replied that would be very kind of you to do that. The name was Matthew Gregorich and died in 1945. I'm pretty sure he would be on the Army Tablets of the Missing but that really is a guess. So I've made another request since I figured you are back by now and didn't have time to get to it.
Beautiful picture of your granddaughter at your uncles cross. Very moving just to see it. I'm sure it was even more so in person since you are related to him.
My best to all. Andi from WA State.

I guess we can both thank our Dad's for surviving!
I sent my friend the list of the six requests I claimed yesterday, and it's possible she may have already taken them, if she has I'll just go ahead and post them. I did just send her an email, but it's almost 10pm there. I won't claim anymore until you have had a chance to claim and post what you have. I do have claims for: Hopkins, Kaeferstein, Runels, Esser, Craig and Mann.

I'm in San Diego, California! That's wonderful that you can get there and take photos! Please do tell me which photos you have taken already and if they are ones that I claimed I will gladly "unclaim" them right away. I'm just happy that the photos are taken. My husband's uncle, Theodore Wright, lost his life after surviving the Bataan Death March while a POW at Camp O'Donnell. Thank you so much for your time in taking these photos.

I just claimed the photo of Carl Kaeferstein yesterday...I have a friend there in Manila who likes to earn a little extra money that takes the photos for me, and I do it in honor of my husband's uncle who is buried there as well.
If you have already taken the photo then please let me know right away and I will delete it from her list and I will unclaim it. Do you take the photos before you claim them? This list is really big now and there are so many, especially on the Tablets of the Missing that have requests for photos.

Dear Sandy, I have not yet received a pic for Allan. I greatly appreciate that you will attempt to locate it when you get to Manila. Please have a safe and wonderful trip and many successes as you are helping to fulfill as many requests as you can. Hopefully you will be able to locate Allan's but will understand your time constraints.

Although your posted entry passed away or lived
in Chester county, Limerick Garden of Memories Cemetery is in Montgomery county. You may want to delete your entry here, and go to the proper county- or not- Just a thought.
There are 100 entries made in that cemetery.
