Parker Haselton
I checked Parker's obelisk in White Rock Cemetery. The only other person who shares the stone with him is Nellie.

As I'm researching I find that in different parts of the country they tended to use different spellings of it...thank you, that tidbit may help someone else.

Re: Mike Brady
I have the obituary for Mike. Would you update his memorial if I send it to you?

Sure, send it on.

Okay. I am Pete Savage's wife Mary's {Lake City, IA} 1st cousin. She vouched for your relationship. I will transfer Charley to you in a few minutes. Do you want Charles Savage, Jr. 's ? Would you possibly be related to Harold Higgins, of Sac City. I went to school with him.. he would be about 74 or 75.

Kristy Rice
Trenchard/Clinton County/Graceland Cemetery
Hi, R.O. Higgins. Ok, to start they are actually in Graceland Cemetery, not Graceland Memorial. They are in a Mausoleum with a Poland Family?? They are by the Yetters, so I'm sure this is them. But no way to prove it. I will go ahead and post the photo on your request. If you think this could be wrong I will delete them. But the plotted area is in with the Yetter's. Just let me know.
Thanks, Kristy Rice

Sarah & John
Hi there,

I take it from your last name that you might be related to Sarah and Garret? I am not related but love helping out when I can.

John P. Boyer
b. Canada abt 1862
d. Tacoma 18 Mar 1932

He was a carpenter and a house painter

His parents were Solomon Boyer and Jane Burke and they were both born in Canada.

The 1930 census was taken in April and Sarah died in March so John is listed as widowed. I don't know if they were married all the way up until she died, but the last city directory entry they show up in, together, is 1924 at 7041 S. Alder (and I believe that's where John was living when he died.)

I hope that helped a little.

Garret Gibson
I transferred Garret to you. Just curious if your great aunt was his 1st wife Sarah or his 2nd wife Sarah? I see a Sarah Gibson in Sheridan, WY is listed as the widow of Garret J. in 1907, when this Garret is not, in fact, dead. His 2nd wife died in Park County in 13 June 1939, but I haven't verifed that she's buried in the Cooke City Cemetery. I'm a summer resident of Cooke City, trying to get the burials in Cooke City listed and interested in the history of the prospectors.

RE: Higgins photos
I'm not sure if you knew that the Winters Cemetery office had a huge fire years ago and all the records burned. There was a huge effort made to recreate them using public records and county/city historical data. The graves that were unmarked were not able to be accurately id'd.

RE: Higgins photos
Thanks for the kind words. Coming up on the 3rd anniversary of losing him, which is shocking to me. Feels like one year maybe.

I'm glad you're ok with the photos of the blank stone. I, too, would rather have a photo of grass WHERE THEY ARE than just a message saying "Unmarked grave". So pictures of plain stones are one step above that, though so much less than I'm sure you hoped for. :/

I have several family members whose graves are unmarked - in Texas and Minnesota. I really want to create a fund for all the cousins to donate what the can/want to and get a stone made for each of them, but especially for our great grandparents who came as old people from Sweden, and whose graves are unmarked. That's just sad and wrong. I need to move that up on my bucket list!
