Im sorry I cant give you the coordinance yet, but my great X4 I believe grandpa isnt buried in Souder. He is buried on private land. It is app 10 miles NE of Gainesville, MO. The land used to owned by Hugh Hambelton. I will update asap. I have applied a picture of his gravestone for you. I can tell you another son was Otis Souder. He worked as a grain miller at the Rockbridge Mill. He also lived there. They supplied housing for the miller. He is buried at Souder Cemetary. I will get you more when I can.

RE: Hamilton/Abram Souders
I had seen the articles you forwarded in some of my other research, it was listed under USGENWEB. But have not seen anything related to the trading of farms. As for my grandfather Ben S., he married Anna Mae Ringeisen (also German). When Ben & Anna retired from farming they moved into Cuba, Mo. and had 3 neighboring homes who were also Souders'. The Postal carrier said Maiden Lane should've been called Souders' Lane. A lot of the homes were sold and torn down and this area now has newer homes at the southwestern edge of Cuba near I-44. Of Ben's 3 sons and 2 daughters, the youngest son, James "Floyd", remained on the old farm on Crawford F Road near Jake Prairie. Floyd's son, Norman, now lives down the road a bit and rents out the brick home that was built by Floyd. The old homestead now is more or less a catch-all/haybarn, but still stands. Ben's youngest daughter, Marie, is the only sibling still living. She lives in St. James.

RE: Hamilton/Abram Souders
I'll attempt in locating a copy of the book you suggested. Hamilton is my great-great grandfather. George Henry S. is my great grandfather, Ben Harisson S. is my grandfather, Leslie Harrison is my dad (all now deceased). My dad and immediate family farmed outside Cuba near Jake Prairie. A cousin still lives/maintains the old farm and adjacant land. Thanks again on the inso.

Gary,
I now live near El Dorado Springs, Mo and the Souders' Cemetery is about 35 Miles east near Weaubleau, Mo. Do you have any info as to how Hamilton and his youngest brother, Abram, migrated to the area south of Weaubleau, north of Humansville, Mo? The area surroundingthe Souders' Cemetery is now a very large dairy farm.

RE: Thanks
No problem. I was at East Hill Cemetery today with my husband and brother-in-law and while they were having a plot staked out in the family plot for their mother's funeral, I was walking around and taking a bunch of photos. I'm glad I could help.

I had seen some of the Souders name without the S, as well. Now, I have to remember where I saw them at. I think it was when I was looking up my childrens relatives on their fathers side. I will let you know if I see any of them as well.

I transfered the Souders that you wanted, but I may wait on the rest , until I contact some of my other family members, to see if there is a link between your Souders and our Souders. If not then I think that I amy transfer them all to you that lived in Missouri. But, it may take a little while.

You did not ask, but I transferred her to you. It is so much better to have family with family. My Souders went to Buchanan Co., Mo.,. and then to St. Charles, Madison Co., Iowa. Maybe one day we find a link somewhere , you never know.

So Sorry
I am really sorry about my e-mail yesterday. I was not feeling to well, and I was trying add a lot of names to my Legacy tree, and I just stopped for a few minutes to check my mail. And this da__ computer has been acting up because it is so old,and I kind of just lost it. I rally am sorry that I was rude, and I am glad that the person has the full use of the site. And then thinking about the person that won't transfer my beloved great-aunt over to me, kind made it all worse, when you asked me to delete my site.My great-anunt did raise my mom and two of her brothers during the depression, and my aunt lost her only child shortly after birth. The one taht has her is a distant cousins of her. But, I really don't mine transferring site to relatives closer than I am, or deleteing something like I did last night. I have done it many times. It just came at a bad time. Even if I can't have my grat-aunt, I can still go and visit her grave through FInd A Grave, and leave a flower and message. Again I am sovery sorry about my response to your message. God bless and keep safe and well.

I deleted the Souders that you suggested that I delete. Then I remembered what some one told me about the right way to do things. Transfers whould be to the closest relative. And if someone has a sit and they have information on that person , then they contact the person that has that site, and give them the information, espedically if the person has had it for two years before the second person put it on. I sholdnot have deleted mine, but given the information that wasneeded for the site to be complete. I am always deleting or transferring someone to someone on my site to someone else, which is the proper thing to do, if they are the nearest relation. But, not all people follow that guide line. I have been closer related to other , but refused the transfer. I have put many people onm Find A Grave, only to delete them because someone asked me to, instead of following the guide lines. I am not angry with you or anyone else, only myself because I don't follow the guide lines and delete or transfer all the time. I have got to learn not to do that.

Souders Family
I am related to the Souders as well. My 3rd great-grandfather's daughter Polly Adelaline Clanton married Alfred Souders. My Souders family line are from those that went to Mo. from Il. with the Clantoon's, Clark's, Souders, and Clarks, and some Moore's. They lived in Buchanan Co., Mo. until moving to Madison Co., Ia. In about 1845/46. Souders doesn't seem to be a common name to me, or at least where I looked.I would like to know more as Polly Adaline (Clanton) Souders, seems to be a favorite of mine, for some reason.
