|MixedStock||RE: Dorothea Anderson|
When I wrote the note checkmarked to remove the request. Perhaps that is why you don't see it now. But it was there and had a long note attached that had nothing to do with Dorothea. It had to do with problems getting locations of burials in a columbarium in California. Ring any bells?

Thank you for the contacts, I'll write a letter to them about Paul Darley's locations and when I get his locations, I'll let you know.

Well, I got a call back this evening from the crematoria and they said they do not know what happened to his ashes but they did have a written record of his "arrival". They took a photo of the record and sent texted it to me. I added it to the Find A Grave memorial. And I took the photo request off.
Thank you so much for your help.

The information that you gave me for the mortuary was great. I called and someone answered the phone! I gave the information to the gentleman and he said that he will give the information to Kimberly Bryant who is in charge of location memorials. He said it might take awhile since it was almost 100 years ago ... I don't think their paperwork is in order so who knows .... :-)
I'm retired ... tempted to go down there an look for the information myself :-)

I surely do appreciate all your help regarding my photo requests and will try to contact Mr. Lee and see what he can tell me. I will let you know later. We have a couple cemeteries here in OH that have that same policy where only immediate family members are allowed the location information.

I cannot thank you enough for your kindness and diligence in helping me locate the final resting place of my gr-gr-aunt Luella Mittlesteadt.
I will indeed write to Mr. Lee, provide him with the necessary information, and mention that you have been acting in my interests. From recent reviews online, it appears he is always slow to respond to questions or requests. Many people have said the phone is never answered there.
Again, thank you so much for helping me find Luella.

Thanks so much for your new message. I appreciate how much effort you have put in on this for everyone! We have a huge cemetery here in Northern California that won't allow Find A Grave volunteers on the premises, and when people call for grave information, they try to sell them a plot! There is a huge number of Find A Grave requests, close to 60 now, and I feel terrible that we cannot fulfill these requests.
Again, I really appreciate your time and effort. Many thanks. I'm going this search for a family member so I'll pass your message along to them.

I appreciate your help in attempting to locate Philip. I have deleted my previous request as I now have the entire birth and death date and have entered another photo request for him along with his wife Doris Baus. I do not have a death date for her but assume she is buried next to him. Hoping you can get more info. on location now.
Thanks for being a volunteer. I also volunteer but only in OH and PA.

Thanks for your long message and all of your hard work! I know that everyone really appreciates it!
I have found a birth date for Rebecca Mears (138048904) and if you can obtain a photo, that would be great. Otherwise, thank you anyway. Some of these situations are just difficult, being a volunteer myself, I know that!
Many thanks again.

**You wrote: I notice that there are 82 requests for photos at the Chapel of the Pines Crematory in Los Angeles, CA. I am making an attempt to do what I can to try to obtain information on the locations for the people in this Columbarium. It is not a cemetery, but all Cremains. The place was in quite bad repair, and the new owners, over time have been fixing the place up, but it is not any where close to where it should be. I spoke with the director and gave him the list. For some strange reason, the files are filed by month day and year. All of the requests that are on the list only provide the year of birth and death. I am not sure how willing the director will be to look through an entire year for each name. I think that if the 82 requests contained a month and day, I will have a better chance at getting the location so the pictures can be taken. I will have to wait and see how much of an effort if any that the director will make in looking up the information for me so I can take the pictures. I do not know if your request can contain more than the year. If it is not possible, then you can send the information to me, and I will work at getting them to look the information up when more information is provided.

Thank you for your efforts on acquiring photos. I have made two requests for the cemetery, so I will provide you with the full death dates for them. Marguerite (Dodd) Bennett died Jun. 2, 1960, and her father, Charles Vernon Dodd, died Dec. 30, 1955.

Thanks for the response Tom I was certainly tying to make a connection to your Find A Grave memorials. In particular Luella was my great uncle's second wife. I spent many days in the summer with them in Ann Arbor when i was a kid. One thing I needed was Luella's middle name (Mae) and you had that. Are you aware if her daughter is still alive? I know her husband Darwin died a few years back.
Hope to talk in the future and thanks for the leads.
