RE: Susan Caroline Harvey Powers
Thanks. Can't remember if I returned this e-mail. I don't think at this point that the Powers family fit with my documentation at this point. There are several Susan Caroline Harvey that lived in the area. If I find additional info, I will keep in touch.

I realize that you are not in charge of maintenance for this memorial, but if you have any info on her or her family, I would like to share that info. Anything will be helpful. I'm on ancestry if you would like to share tree views.

Mary - Do you know what happened to her daughter Mamie Byrd Horton? This Mamie Bird or Byrd married Tom Guy Castleberry in Switzer in 1934. No trace of her after that.

Thank you Mary. It is very frustrating when people won't respond or refuse to work together. I am just trying to get things right. If the info is out there...it needs to be correct.

Request
You sent the following:
Thank you so much for the photos of both Moses U. and William C. Alexander - I do not need them to be transferred, instead would like your permission to use their headstone photos on my personal page with credit to you.
I walked that cemetery when last in SC - did not know they were of my line until today!
Answer: Yes you have my permission to use the photos of Moses U. Alexander and William C. Alexander located in Holly Springs Baptist Church. May you have a great day and regards.

followup - correction for James, age 7
oops! I sent you the wrong link yesterday by mistake
the last person on the list was James Alexander, age 7
he was the little guy, with a headstone at the Old Unity Baptist Church cemetery, and I believe he might have been a distant descendant of James "the Weaver" Alexander

here is the correct link for James, age 7...

RE: Mayme Alexander
Thank you for the info. I am also looking for burial locations of Margene A Pearl married to Cantwell Alexander. Did she remarry? Also, is there a married name for Rose Pearl born 1893.

Charles/Chester is confusing. Ancestry.com records show his name as Charles but his headstone says Chester. He is buried in Prosser Cemetery, Benton Co., WA. (Go to findagrave.com)

Regards,
Lloker

RE: Dottie Petty Alexander
I can add that information for you and your family. I use the Family Tree Maker. I can put the file with your family added if you can provide the information. Sometimes you just have to stop! because I can do geneology all day and all night before I realize it.
If you want me to download this file onto a CD for you, just email the info and your address to mail it to you.

Are you related to the Harrelson's in Walnut Grove SC (Yes, Virginia, there is a Walnut Grove!)? I have several in my family line for the Vises. They still are several in Walnut Grove where my family originated and some still are there and others closeby.

Thank you so much for adding this of my Grandfather. He passed away before I was born and have always had questions about him. Never knew my mother was named after his mother, or that he served in WWII.

Thanks again!

Is Luther Powers in your direct line? My records indicate that Ellie Powers Kershaw is also buried in the same cemetery and was married to Luther and then to John W. Kershaw. Any information you could provide me would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Dixon McCravy
You are welcome. Just an fyi....this grave is located 1 section over from the woods at the back of the cemetery. I think 4 rows from the back and just a couple over from the road between these 2 sections.

RE: Dixon McCravy
I stopped back by the cemetery today to see if his family were there with him but he is the only one I found. There is room next to him for several plots. Maybe they are unmarked. I checked the transcrition I have for both Oakwood and West Oakwood but they are not listed. It does say that there is an unmarked adult grave next to him.

:)
