RE: Mayme Alexander
Thank you for the info. I am also looking for burial locations of Margene A Pearl married to Cantwell Alexander. Did she remarry? Also, is there a married name for Rose Pearl born 1893.

Charles/Chester is confusing. records show his name as Charles but his headstone says Chester. He is buried in Prosser Cemetery, Benton Co., WA. (Go to

Are you related to the Fosters in Spartanburg County also? I have my grandmothers line started if you are related. They live in the Woodruff area of the county.

I can add that information for you and your family. I use the Family Tree Maker. I can put the file with your family added if you can provide the information. Sometimes you just have to stop! because I can do geneology all day and all night before I realize it.
If you want me to download this file onto a CD for you, just email the info and your address to mail it to you.

Are you related to the Harrelson's in Walnut Grove SC (Yes, Virginia, there is a Walnut Grove!)? I have several in my family line for the Vises. They still are several in Walnut Grove where my family originated and some still are there and others closeby.

Thank you so much for adding this of my Grandfather. He passed away before I was born and have always had questions about him. Never knew my mother was named after his mother, or that he served in WWII.

Thanks again!

Luther M Powers
Is Luther Powers in your direct line? My records indicate that Ellie Powers Kershaw is also buried in the same cemetery and was married to Luther and then to John W. Kershaw. Any information you could provide me would be greatly appreciated.

You are welcome. Just an fyi....this grave is located 1 section over from the woods at the back of the cemetery. I think 4 rows from the back and just a couple over from the road between these 2 sections.

I stopped back by the cemetery today to see if his family were there with him but he is the only one I found. There is room next to him for several plots. Maybe they are unmarked. I checked the transcrition I have for both Oakwood and West Oakwood but they are not listed. It does say that there is an unmarked adult grave next to him.

You're welcome! I wish I could have found a stone for her, but she is in an absolutely beautiful spot. My photos couldn't really do it justice.

Hi Mary - good work on tracking down Caroline's maiden name. I've updated her memorial page, and would like to link to hubby, Don, but can't find his burial - any more info?

Your welcome, do you know if A. is her middle initial, and what stands for? Or does it just stand for Alenander and I should delete the A.? Do you know anymore about her birth date and place?

By the way Mary, Since the Alexander's are your family, I would be happy to transfer Ralph's memorial (and his wife, Mary Pearl Kyne) over to you if you'd like. They are both buried at St. Brigid Cemetery in Xenia, Greene, Ohio. Just let me know!

Perry Alexander
After researching, I believe that your Perry Alexander (# 14469638) is the father of a person on my memorial list. His name is Ralph W. Alexander (#30139627). Could you please add Ralph as a child to Perry and his wife Ella? Ralph was the fourth of five children.

Thank you!

Best Regards,
Terrie Johnson Lambert

Vincent Holley Alexander
Do you happen to have any information on Vincent Holley Alexander buried in Pickens county? He passed away in 2005 was involved in Roper Mtn Science Center. I saw a photo of him once he resembled my grandfater they would have been about the same age. But I am originally from the Oklahoma area and had heard that some of the Alexanders were from this area.
