Hugheys
Could you please transfer Geary P. Hughey, #45805494, and Madora Higginbotham Hughey, #45805493, to me? They are my great-great grandparents. Thanks!

Higginbotham
Would you mind transferring Nelson and Lucretia "Cressie" Higginbotham to me? I have a lot of information on this family (they are my direct bloodline) and would like to keep them maintained. Thanks so much!

Thanks. This family name is spelt multiple ways, and has been hard to follow. Hopefully this will also help many others. Thanks for your help with find a grave.

Walter and Nannie's daughter, Nannie Lee Venable, was married to Coy Michael Horton, whose mother was my great-grandfather's sister.

Hi Darrell,
I believe we talked several years ago about the Venable family line.
Berchie was married to my great-grandfather, Alex Williams.

Mary Venable Minor update
Got some news today. The lot number should be 548, not 54800. The section number is 68. Jackpot--this is the Henry Evelyn Pierrepont lot. He was a FOUNDER of Green-Wood Cemetery. Mary Minor appears to have been a granddaughter of Ellen Pierrepont Minor. I'll get a photo--but I'm not certain I"ll find an individual stone for Mary. There has been a lot of restoration work on the Pierrepont lot over the past year. You can see what the area looks like by going to the memorial page for Henry Evelyn Pierrepont.

Mary Venable Minor
Problem with the grave location. She does not appear in Green-Wood's online burial records and the lot number given does not exist in Green-Wood. Suggest you contact the cemetery to confirm that she is there and get an accurate grave location.

Zena Venable transfer @ Harmony @ Choccolocco, Al.
Find A Grave probably has already sent you notice I did the transfer. We have been traveling and very busy trying to do make up on everything and I'm sorry I didn't get to this until now. I have taken almost all grave photos at that cemetery but just not enough time to post all I have of the graves.

Venable Family (Georgia)
Hi Darrell.

I am writing to you in regards to the Venable family from Jackson County, Georgia. My quick internet browsing has led me to you (and a couple others) here on Find-A-Grave.

First let me say, this is NOT part of my family line. However, I have begun this research by request of my husband. Who is also NOT related to the Venable line. Let me explain. My husband is a docent at the Crawford Long Museum in Jefferson, GA. He has been curious to find out more about the young man who was the first patient to have ether used during a procedure by Dr. Long. That young man was James M. Venable.

Unfortunately, we know very little about him and his family. Although I have just begun, I am piecing together small tidbits. (Very small.) And unfortunately, I haven't found anything about him, but more about his family.

I would be thrilled if you could help me with my quest to provide my husband, and possibly the museum, some more information about James and his family. From what we understand, he was born around 1821/1822, and died prior to 1854. Though we do not know why he died so young, or where he is buried.

Any help would be much appreciated. I look forward to hearing back from you.

Thank you in advance.
Diana
