|Lisa Tanner||Quincy Adams Warden Memorial|
Just wondering if you have a family link to Quincy Adams Warden. I see that on her memorial you have added 2 newspaper obits. she is my husbands great grandmother & there is some family stories about her actually being murdered by her husband. The kids of the couple were all sent to foster homes after her death. I'd like to either prove or disprove the story.
Thank you in advance for your reply

Hi Mark! I wanted to let you know that another member (BratfromPratt) requested a photo for Edith Walden(#38785436) and I have uploaded it to your memorial for her. There were other relatives buried on the same plot. I have added photos to the existing memorials and created new ones for those that didn't.

|E. Higgins||John Yocum (1747)|
Hi Mark! I see that you have added a John Yocum (1747) #94688388 to the database from a tiny cemetery in Clay County, IN. Thank you for your efforts! I do, however, believe that a child listed is incorrect. I've seen a few different lists of many children of this John Yocum, but never a Dorothea. With some research, it seems that others believe that Dorothea was the daughter of John Yocum (1752), son of Phillip Paul Yocum, who married Mary Magdalene Neff and died in WV. These Johns would have been cousins, I believe, and it appears they had an additional cousin John (died TN), son of Valentine Felty Yocum. I've even seen censuses with 3 Johns and a Jonathan, so at times they are impossible to identify separately! I do believe that Dorothea is misplaced here. I am decended from this John Yocum and Mary Downing through his daughter Martha Yocum (1780s) who married Daniel Dunlavy.

I am going to be doing some research/find a grave picture taking but I'm not clear on how to put the locations of a grave. would I be correct if I said a grave was located in Section 38, sub section A, Division 6? or in the Catholic Section, Divsion 24, part a?

|BrideyLight||Glenn Home, Terre Haute adoption mystery!|
Dear Mark W. Neice: I see that you have created a memorial for Alpha Beckman, who is interred in Woodlawn Cemetery, Terre Haute. Alpha was the aunt of a Glenn Home adoptee. I am hopeful that you yourself or perhaps an associate of yours at the Wabash Valley Genealogy Society may have or may be able to discover more information (with boots on the ground in Vigo County) about this family mystery for Phyllis Joan Newton (her birth name), an adoptee and neice of Alpha Beckman (aka Bockman in some records). Phyllis lived at the Glenn Home in Terre Haute from 1928 until 1929, and she is now 86-years-old and anxious to find out more about her birth family in Terre Haute, deceased -- but especially -- perhaps living! For the information which is currently known about Phyllis's birth family, please see the memorial I have created for Phyllis's birth mother, Mary Angeline (maiden name Cotom or Cotton) Sharp (first marriage to James Thomas Newton, Sr.), http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=94548299 . Mary's memorial has a link to the memorial for her stillborn son, James Thomas Newton, Jr. which has most of the same information as his mother's memorial, but a tad more.
Phyllis and I would be grateful if you could please bring her adoptive family mystery to the attention of your WVGS fellow members via email or perhaps even at the next meeting, or to the attention of anyone else you deem may be able to help her with this mystery. And, just to let you know, we are very grateful to the Vigo County Vital Records office for already having assisted us with our research as much as their office possibly can. I am in touch with Phyllis via telephone and she lives independently in Kansas, saying with a lilt of joy and fun in her voice, "There is NO time to waste!" Thank you in advance for any help you can provide us with, Kind regards, Bridey Light, a friend of Phyllis's, volunteering to assist in her birth family search

|Norma Faller||RE: George Worth|
No, let me explain. You have linked the correct son to the correct mother. Other family trees in the system have linked him to another mother and I was just trying to verify, but after contacting you (and doing a little more research), I figured out that tree had the wrong mother attached to him. You ARE correct. Sorry for causing any confusion. New researchers are NOT doing any homework.

Thanks for the edit listing her middle name. Could you please provide your source so that I can add this to her memorial. Thanks.
