Linda Doile Morris
Samuel Knight in Primitive Baptist
Thank you for taking an interest in Samuel. However, I have knowledge from his sons Bible that his birthdate was in May. Daniel wrote down everything and I do mean everything. lol

I would like to know if you are part of the family. I do hope so and would like to hear from you.

I just did a quick search on ancestry for Robert Bailey -- it appears that his parents were Jobe Bailey and Jemima Minton.

RE: Margaret Brooks Bailey, Bailey Cemetery
I am currently working on the Brooks family tree. Margaret's parents were Allen Brooks and Margaret Minton. I do not have any information on the Bailey family other than their children. If I can be of assistance to you with the Brooks family please let me know.

Info was gleaned from the "Brown County Cemetery" book, published circa 1970's
No stone that I could read.
We no longer live close to Mound, so unable to recheck

RE: Davidson Cemetery
My first trip down those dirt roads also took place the first time about 30-40 years ago when I was heading to a deer lease. I was following someone who was in a 4 wheel drive and the roads got so muddy and slick that I had to park my stationwagon and load up in the other vehicle. I didn't know of the cemetery back then and didn't realize I had family buried there. I ended up on another deer lease in the area years later and that is when I learned of the cemetery and made a special side trip to see it and take photos. The roads are slightly better than they were 30 years ago. The drive down those dirt roads are not bad when they are dry, but when they are wet and muddy, I don't advise anyone to drive them, especially in a 2 wheel drive car.

The cemetery is not hard to find, but it is a pretty good distance getting there once you get off of the paved roads. The cemeteries main page on Find A Grave should have a Google map link on it.

Hi Valita - Sorry I did not get back to you before, but I have been searching for any information that may help you.
I can find nothing in my files or searches that indicate Emma Palmer had another name of Brockow. I did find one Ancestry family report that listed documentation of an 1880 census and that the parents were: George W. Palmer, b. 22 Feb 1844 in Missouri, d. 22 Dec 1918 in Redlands, San Bernardino, California. Mother was Christina Stout born in Switzerland 1851, d. 18 Aug 1925 in Redlands.
There was no documentation listed for the parents other than the information came from other family tree reports.
I tried to keep track of Emma and what I had already in my notes on her is that in 1915 in the Iowa State Census, Emma Scobee, 36, divorced, and both children are living in Clarksville, Butler, Iowa.
In the 1920 US Census, Emma Scobee, 41, and daughter are living in Los Angeles, California. I could not find any more info on Emma.
In the 1925 Iowa State Census, both children are back living with their father and second wife Tillie in Iowa.
Hope this little bit helps.

Valita, would you check to make sure the name is Bussell and not Russell in the Pioneer Cemetery. Someone else had posted John Russell.

No, I don't have his birth date yet, but I am ordering a will of Adam Bussell and hope to have that information to add to the Memorial. Thank you again for the grave photo. It has taken me decades to find his parents! I started in 1977!

Yes, you may use it. I would really like photos of the Gilkey Grave markers in Mt. Sterling City Cemetery if you have any way of getting them.
James Banks Gilkey
wife: Winifred Ann Kendrick Gilkey
daughter: Sarah 'Sallie' Elizabeth Gilkey Stout
Sarah's son - Hazel Dell Stout
I added her daughter - Opal Aline Stout Quelch and her husband John Charles Fremont Stout to the memorials. I doubt there were grave markers, but I remember my grandfather Ralph showing me his mother's grave and said his father was there also but could find no marker. Thank You
