|Ancestry/searcher||Mary Dayle/Royal Palm Cem.|
Hi Colleen, My husband and myself do numerous photo requests at Royal Palm Cem. in St. Petersburg. We have had Mary Dayle on our list of 'to finds' for a while. We do have her exact grave location, but have been unable to locate her at this time. (Many of the older graves at Royal Palm have sunken with time, and we feel that Mary's is one of those.) We will keep poking the ground and searching for her.
Don't give up - we'll keep her on our list until she's found.

|Headstone Genealogist||Mount Royal Cemetery Photo Request|
Mount Royal Cemetery has 165 acres. The burial plot location must be supplied so a volunteer can go take the photo.
You can get this free information by filling the form here: www.mountroyalcem.com/index.php/en/our-services/genealogy-menu.html and in the "Desired Service" field, select "Burial Location (free)" and enter the information.
If the Genealogy page was not helpful then email your request to email@example.com
The cemetery will email you the location (3-10 working days).
Have the memorial updated with the plot number.
You will have made it possible for the photo to be taken.

Yes-I carry the flags with me all the time and follow the protocol of crossing the flag-staffs with the Union Flag [often erroneously referred to as the Union Jack] on the right and ‘Old Glory’ on the left.
It was a badly chosen day because it rained constantly-we had had no rain for some weeks!

|Kevin Finch||The Maggio's|
I fulfilled your request for the Maggio's. Unfortunately the white paint used to fill in the inscriptions, was worn and in some cases, non existent. It was hard for me to even make some of it out with the naked eye. I edited it on the computer, saturating the color, and adding contrast to help, but still it is difficult to read. The Bardsdale District Cemetery has a dated photo, which was taken when the stone was newer, and easier to make out. The groundskeeper has no problem, if you want to copy the photo from his site. His name is Doug Basillo.

I know, it's weird! Also they took over Holy Trinity but that isn't up there yet. Not sure if they will get to it. I might email them and see.

I'm not related. I found them on this site: http://www.ccbklyn.org/information-news/locate-a-loved-one/ and I was trying to help out people who weren't getting photos taken because they didn't know the locations... I found a bunch of my relatives and decided to help out. Good luck... :)

The photograph at the top of the memorial is for the wrong Mary. The photograph is for Mary 1843-1916 and the memorial is for Mary d. 1950. I believe the photograph belongs on Memorial 41843900.

|Russ Nixon||Chalk on Stones|
I see a box of chalk in some of the photos you took in West Union Cemetery. This is a MAJOR NO NO!! Most chalk is abrasive, contains plaster of paris and causes permanent damage to the stone as well as leaving permanent stains. NEVER USE CHALK ON A TOMBSTONE. It's illegal in many states and if someone wanted to press the issue you could be heavily fined and/or jailed for cemetery vandalism. Unless you paid for the stone, you have no justification or jurisdiction to do any damage to a stone for the sake of being able to make it readable. There are many accepted ways to clean and read a stone but chalk isn't one of them. The find-a-grave forums and many other places list safe and effective ways to read stones without doing damage or getting yourself into legal trouble. I can show you several cases where people paid upwards of ten thousand dollars in court costs and restitution for damaging stones with chalk, metal instruments and other unacceptable practices.

Thanks for the quick updates. They're not my family. They just happened to be attached to another family I'm researching. Before the snow & brutal cold hit, I photographed the entire Silver Island Cemetery. While adding those photos, I ended up adding about 100 new memorials that weren't previously listed on find a grave. I'm attempting to link some of those new Silver Island memorials to their ancestors/descendants in other cemeteries. Again, thanks for the prompt updates. I really appreciate it. Have a great day!

I posted the obituaries on Aaron's memorial so you could see them, I haven't finished filling in everything yet. #59044548. I got the relationships mixed up--I have 2 Polly Craft's in my tree,(can't keep them all straight!)anyway, Aaron is my GGG Uncle. Thank you VERY much for the transfer--I see there are more Craft's in that cemetery, will have to do more research on them to see where they fit in.
