|Christine Elmore||Frank Scott|
Sorry - it's me again... what RR did Frank work for? My great grandfather James Sharrock (Frank Sharrock's brother) worked for the Erie RR out of Galion.

I am related to Stella through her father Frank. Frank's final location was a brick wall of mine for 5-6 years, and my cousin Boyd's for 31 years. He died before I could tell him where Frank was... I thank you for posting these pictures... they remind me of one of my best genealogical buddies... I miss him....he's been gone for 15 years... he was a veteran of the Battle of Normandy, and was a wonderful man.

Samuel Shambaugh Hammack #29571530 (my 5th great grandfather!
wife: Louisa C. Mauk #29571529
Michael R. Hammack (1825 - 1893)*
Daniel R. Hammack (1829 - 1911)*
Samuel Harvey Hammock (1840 - 1900)*
I have one additional child to add, my ancestor:
Mary E . Hammack b. 1830 VA d. 1924, so she was born before Michael R. Hammack listed above. Also for your information, you may want to post that Hammack was the name in VA before moving to OH and then the name changed to Hammock, so that is how I searched.
I live in Traverse City, MI. Can you tell me how I would find Asbury Cemetery, Fairfield Co, OH? I have been to Lancaster only once, so keep the directions very simple. And hopefully I can send you other messages regarding Fairfield Co. Oh, firefighters are great for what they do, how they serve and the places they can find!

|Melissa ||Thanks for posting the pics|
I have been researching my family history for over the past few years. Today I was looking up more grave sites on here and well, what do you know...you took the photo of my gg-grandparents grave sites (at Elmwood Cemetary). Very interesting as I saw your name as the contributor of the photos and I know you, ha ha. Thanks for the photos! If it was not for the photos, I would have never known where my gg-grandparents were buried (they are on my grandfathers side - I have most of my grandmothers side finished in research). Anyway, thanks for all the work you did for everyone posting all of the photographs! Very nice job!

Hi Jason, the picture you have post on the memorial for David Hamilton Wheatcraft should be removed as that is the headstone for his father, which is also posted on the Memorial for Daniel Wheatcraft. Thank you.

Hi Jason, your memorial for Fredrick Hummel (#21616246) in New Betzer cemetery appears to be almost identical to (#28544605) in OLD Betzer. Do you have any details on that burial?

|Julie Pike||Samuel Shallenberger|
I am looking for graves and tombstones for Samuel Shallenberger and his wife Elizabeth Hine Jackson in Lamott Cemetery. Looking at Google maps, it appears the graves have been plowed over. If true I'm sad someone could do so. I guess on private land there is nothing to prevent it. Could the graves have possibly been moved? Any information would be appreciated. I will be in the area in 2014 searching for other ancestors as well (William B. Pearce and Lavina Shallenberger-Samuel's daughter) Thanks for any information you can provide. |Margaret Wade||LaMott Cemetery|
Hi Scott. I left a photo request for LaMott Cemetery and I see that there was a problem reported in 2012 on another request for that Cemetery. This is the information I have on the Cemetery and wondered if it agrees with what you know from being in the area. I am looking for a family member whose tombstone would have been dated with a death date of December 15, 1825.
Records say "Lamott Cemetery is located in Section 17, Berne Township, Fairfield County, Ohio along the east bank of what was the Hocking Canal, at canal lock number 5 (now destroyed). In 1996 the LaMott Cemetery is in very poor condition, on the land originally owned by the Lamott's...Berne Township trustees claim no responsibility as it is a private cemetery...Leonard Miller is the third generation present owner of the farm where the cemetery is located." This information comes from information compiled in 1996. Can you help me know if tombstones are still present with this better description of where the cemetery is located?
