Bill, I am the Research Assistant at Bullion Plaza Cultural Center & Museum in Miami, Az. As I am digitizing old newspapers, I am saving the obituaries and adding the information to findagrave. So as I find them, I will add them. Also, if you find some that I've written, feel free to send me a message and ask for the actual obituary. Findagrave doesn't like for anyone to post the actual obituary, even though the copyright laws apply only for 90 years.

I wonder if I may have your permission to use your grave marker and/or cemetery photos on my family website. Check it out at This is how I'd be using the photos and obituaries I find on Find A Grave, with 'used with permission' in the caption.

Thank you.

Memorial number 40337645. You noted burial in plot 366 in the Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul, NE. I requested a photo and the volunteer said they could not locate a marker or stone there. Can you check your information on the plot number.

John Hyder
Hello Bill,

While looking into John Hyder, Find A Grave Memorial# 69618682, I found an obit for his wife.

Lincoln Evening Journal,Lincoln, Tuesday, September 7, 1926, Page 4

Mrs. John Hyder at York Tuesday. YORK, Neb., Sept. 7.—Funeral services were held at the home of W. W. Wycoff Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. John Hyder. fifty-eight, a former York resident whose death occurred at Los Angeles, following an operation. Mrs. Hyder Is survived by a daughter and two sons. Rev. R. L. Lindsay of Crete, preached the funeral sermon. Rev. Mr. Lindsay was pastor of the Congregational church in York when Mr. and Mrs. Hyder were married in the church more than thirty years ago. Mrs. Hyder’s husband, a former engineer for the Burlington, was killed in a railroad accident in 1911.

Bohemian National Cemetery
Please don't delete the whole cemetery! Will it even let you do that?
I emailed to ask Find A Grave to merge together all the iterations of the same place.
That way we won't lose anybody, though we will probably have to figure out if everybody is listed where they really are.

RE: Wilber Czech Cemetery
It's not the Wilber Czech Cemetery - it's the 54 people in the (2nd Sunnyside) Czech Cemetery. How about we move them to their correct cemetery?

Bohemian National Cemetery photo
Hi Bill,

I got a message from Suki and got to looking at this. Your photo is captioned "wrong photo," but it is the right photo! Česko Národní Hřbitov MEANS Bohemian (or Czech) National Cemetery. This cemetery is also known in some circles as Big Blue. You might want to change your caption.

Wilber Czech Cemetery
Hi, I'm confused by the main cemetery photos Itaborek had approved for the Wilber Czech Cemetery out of Wilber, Nebraska. I don't live in the area, but have been to the cemetery a number of times and taken over 600 photos. I don't recall seeing the brick building with plot information or the somewhat rusted Cecho Slvoansky Hrbitov sign photo Itaborek took on Jun 8, 2013. I was there in May, 2013. Are we dealing with two different cemeteries? Your photo from the Wilber Czech Cemetery taken in 2006 is what I recall and the white brick & flag pole sign donated by Robert & Lydia Altman (which was probably added later). If you look closely at the photo from 5/11/13 you can see a small white building across the cemetery - that's the only building I remember, and is actually a maintenance shed. I never saw the brick building photo Itaborek took with the plot information. I had trouble finding our relatives and would certainly have noticed the brick building....and used it to find our relatives. Itaborek photos appear to be the Bohemian-Slavonian Cemetery - is this cemetery also on highway 41? Do you know if we dealing with two cemeteries?

Photo of Lutheran Cemetery, Otis, KS

I noticed a photo you have provided for the cemetery is not correct according to the map for the cemetery. The top photo is of the cemetery directly behind Otis-Bison High School Football Field. The second photo is from somewhere else.

The googlemap and apparently coordinates show a cemetery further removed to the SW of Otis. Anything you can do to correct that?

Thanks, Dave
