Bob Dalton
By the way, the below-mentioned Bob Dalton was a brother of Paul Dalton, who was Lillian's father. Both Bob and Paul were sons of Elias Presley Dalton and Mary Ellen Gregg.

Lillian Arminta Dalton
Susan, Thanks. but Lillian was the daughter of Paul and Amy [Richards] Dalton. She would have been 5 years old in 1930. She did marry once or twice, but divorced and retained her maiden name. I have the 1930 census for her family. Thanks for thinking of me.
Regards, Mary

RE: Cathryn Boersma
Hi Susan,
Since Cathryn is your aunt, contact the person that first entered her memorial. Maybe he'll transfer the memorial to you. Find A grave suggests transfers, rather than creating new (duplicate) memorials.

Thanks,
Jackie

Evalyn Wasson Loyd
Joseph (Duck) Wasson
Indian Springs Cemetary-Joseph (Duck) Wasson is my paternal grandfather and it is listed as Evaline being his spouse. That was his mother. His spouse was Itla (Fransisco) Wasson and is buried at McNatt Cemetary. He has 3 more children, along with Willard that is listed.
I would like the memorials transferred to me, if you don't mind so I could add to them, and also to my Aunt Annie Widener.
Are you related to us?
You've done a lot of leg work, your pictures are great and thanks for all you have done this far!

Thanks,

Samuel D. Best info
I came across the following information from old records of McDonald County, MO. Thought you might like to add it.
Samuel D. Best was born Jan. 32, 1829, in Loncoln County, North Carolina. His parents moved to Tennessee when he was but 18 months old, where he was brought up. He was first married in Blunt County, Tenn., in 1851, and has 15 children, 13 of whom are still living. He is now living with his second wife to whom he was married int he north part of this state a few years ago. In early life he attended school at Perryville, Tenn., where he acquired his education. Mr. Best has quite an interesting war record, having served three years under Stanley and Sheridan. He was in many battles, among which were Perryville, Nashville, Murfreesborough and Knoxville. He was First Lieutenant, Co., D., Second Tenn. Cavalry; was wounded near Murfreesborough in March, 1863, and some time later resigned on account of disability. Mr. Best is a farmer by occupation, and owns a comfortable home on the Pineville and Indian Springs Road.

Millie Ann Buckingham was married to Andrew Frank Burge (he went by Frank) and their son was James Frederick and he went by Fred. Thanks again.

Indian Springs Cemetery
Susan: It is so good that someone has an interest in this very special old cemetery. I do have some information about Millie Ann Buckingham Burge. She was the daughter of James Mathias Buckingham and Elizabeth Jane Gill who was the sister of my great grandfather Isaac Gill. I have a letter from her daughter-in-law Exie Burge (wife of Fred Burge) to my great grandparents. Census records show all of them living very close to each other, in fact, Isaac was living with Elizabeth & James before his marriage. Would it be too much trouble to correct this?
Thanks again.

I don't know if you noticed or not but there is a second Boersma child buried next to Dennis, it is Kenneth Boersma 1947-1948.

Both grave stones are in that image.

I have been searching for my ancestors burial locations for about 10 years. Every once in a while I try my luck on the findagrave website. Tonight, I was delighted to find that within the last couple of days you located them for me in the Mayfield Cemetery in McDonald County, Missouri! Thank you so much for your volunteer efforts!

Looking to buy the house in front of the cemetary
Susan,

I was just visiting my dad this past week who lives on CC almost down by the intersection with C. I was driving down McNatt when we saw the for sale sign and drove up the drive/road to the house for sale and noticed the cemetary in the far back. I was immediately drawn to the cemetary. My father works for Ozark Funeral Home and I have grown up in the funeral industry so cemetaries are awesome in my eyes. I was curious about so much about the cemetary and so many questions about the cemetary. I see that there was a recent burial there and a lot of old headstones replaced by new ones as well....I wondered who was caring for it and if there was an endowment for it or if it was just families that did it. I am absolutely in love with the property there on McNatt and part of that is because of the cemetary....Please let me know more about the cemetary and if it is the land that is fenced in around it or if there is more to it then that...also do you know who currently lives in the other house to the right when you first turn into the drive and who is selling the house on the left?

Dan McGuire
RE: Indian Springs Cemetery
I assume you got about ninety e-mails from me.

You indicated that you were going to try to read some more of the markers in Indians Springs. Keep a look out for Malinda Madeline (Harriman) McGuire. We are not sure she is buried at Indian Springs, but think that is the most likely location. I created a memorial for her at Indian Springs.

She was born in about 1832 in Illinois. Her husband, Thomas Jefferson McGuire passed away in 1900. The last record we can find of her was the 1900 census where she was living at home as a widow. She had children in Anderson, Texas, Idaho and Oregon and it is possible that she was buried at one of these locations. A family historian said she died in January 1919, but we believe that date is wrong since it is the same date as another Malinda Madeline McGuire.

Sharon and I have gone through Indians Springs Cemtery several times trying to find her, but with no success. The burial records at the McDonald County Library do not have her listed at Indian Springs, but most of those records are based on someone going through the cemetery and writing down what they see.

One of our family mysteries.
