I could not find Jane's stone but the cemetery is grown up. There is one in an iron fence, but it is overgrown. I will try to go back after frost and take some tools to clear brush & try again.

I walked the entire Brookeland Cemetery and found only one A. Hooks. I will post the picture of you wish, however, I don't know if this is her grave or not. It had no dates on it and was next to a larger stone with a Wlm. Hooks. Can't remember the entire name but will go back and double check now that I have the name Lakey attached to it. I did see a lot of those. Just let me know. Respectfully, ldo

I just posted a picture of John to his memorial. I thought you would like to know. Pearl Houston sent this to me 20 years ago & I just came across it again.

|Beelady||Lewis graves on 712|
I have searched the road up one side and down the other and have not found these graves. Some areas are very overgrown and apparently so since Mr. Pilson read the graves. I had someone else with me as well looking. Sorry. These are my ancestors as well.

|Beelady||RE: Edward Lewis Cemetery|
Road #712 is Heidelback School Road. The road runs between Union Bridge Road and Iron Bridge Road near Elamsville. I was photographing cemeteries on this road in the last month and was unable to find the Lewis graves. Mr. Pilson stated that they were 1/2 mile north of the road near the old Billy Via home. I will be out there looking again the week of April 15th. It was bitter cold when I looked a few weeks ago. Your friend should beware of dogs in the area.

Just one other note, Elizabeth Groover's Archer children from first husband lived with her and Groover mother and siblings in 1850 and 1860. If you have info that Elizabeth Nelms also married an Archer first and had kids before marrying Cunningham, please let me know.

|Ronnie||RE: Possible Mistaken Reading of 1880 Census|
Who married James Cunningham, Elizabeth Nelms or Elizabeth Groover?
In 1880, a sister to head of house, the widow Elizabeth Cunningham was living with Sarah Groover Nelms and husband Elias Nelms. So can we automaticaly assume she was Elias' sister? We have to examine all other facts to make sure she wasn't Sarah's sister.
Elizabeth Nelms was born in 1833; she married Andrew Jackson Ricks in 1850 in Baker Co. GA. She lived with her parents the Nelms after her husband died.
Elizabeth Groover was born in 1820 like the woman on the census. There is a marriage record for James Cunningham to Elizabeth Archer for 1869 which was her name after her first marriage. Additionally James and Elizabeth Cunningham lived with Elizabeth Groover's mom in 1870. That would be odd if it wasn't her mom wouldn't it?
We have to look at more than just one record to verify relationships but I can see how that one census could be misleading if you hadn't looked further.
Thanks for your time.
Here is. great page for Nelms researchers in Georgia.

|Cecil Vaden Jr.||Frances Spurlock @ Forest Park Cemetery in Houston|
I see you added a picture request for Frances Spurlock @ Forest Park Cemetery in Houston. If you would call the cemetery at 713-928-5141 and get a "SECTION" and "LOT" I will try to get the picture you want. This is a very large (225+) acre cemetery and without a location would be very hard to find.

I walked the whole cemetery down and couldn't find it. I asked a groundskeeper who happened to be there and she didn't know the name. I'll try again the next pretty day I get.
I did add to FindAGrave a Fred & Jennie McAllister that I ran across. If you would like for me to transfer them to you, let me know.

I have been by Lakewood Cemetery today and took pictures of Margaret Louise Lewis Kearney Bourne and her first husband Erick Wilson Kearney, SR and son Erick Wilson Kearney, JR. Do you need all three or just Margaret. Erick Jr and his first wife Betty were good friends of ours. We went to church together and our children grew up with theirs.
I am not yet good at transferring pictures from camera to computer but this weekend I should be able to get my son to help.

My husband has been to this cemetary and seen their graves. He is also realted to them. We live about 40 miles away, but will get back over there soon to find them again and take pictures. The area is so bushy that we may not be able to get in there to take pictures until the fall when the vegetation dies down.

I was out at Oakwood today. There are no headstone in the rows G,H,I Sec. C After the war they took up all the wooden headboards and put stone markers in there place no names just numbers. They buried three men to a grave so each stone has three numbers on them. I will put a picture up on Higgins memorial and take it down when you see it Sec C so you can see what I'm talking about.

My daughters and I looked through the cemetery and did not find your aunts' tombstones. It started to rain so we did not do an exhaustive search. I live in Florida and we took a detour on a trip home from Alabama to visit Cedar Hill Cemetery. I hope to go back and do further research in Dawson and will keep you in mind to search again.
On another note, I saw you had a request for Elizabeth Jane Roberts Sheffield. My mother in-law is a Sheffield descendent, from Isham's brother William. It really is a small world.

I found "old" John Shular at Happy Home, but neither of his wives. Next to him, however, was a child, John Jr, son of John and Emma (whoever they are). I made a memorial page for John Jr.

Sorry it has taken so long, but I went today to the Cemetary again today to check for GHOE. Unfortunetly I don't think she is buried in this cemetery. I'm going to check at the one that is further north up near Kendall but I have check twice for her and there is no record of her under any name.
Sorry. I'll let you know if I find anything at the one up north.

Sorry, I didn't get those type of pictures. I am new at this so I didn't think about it. If I get back out there I certainly will do that.
I had so much fun yesterday going to a few cemeteries, looking at the headstones and taking pictures, I plan to got out at least 3 days a week.
Glad you liked my pictures. I added about 13 pics to other folks too.

There are no marked Ellenburgs in this cemetery. I looked yesterday. Plus I am still working on Crown Hill. Mr English is not in the mausoleum section. Walked thru twice. May try to go to the sextant today and get a map. Is the English man the father of Lewis and Bill?

Check out the photos I've uploaded of sites at Sowhatchee. I didn't fulfill the photo request since I didn't find the gravesite for John Anglin, Jr. among others. I'll try to get that way again in the near future.
