RE: Annie Shuken
I was adding a "Ann Shuken" and I always do a search on the name to make sure it is not a duplicate. And your Annie Shuken came up so I read it.

Hi, Nancy. It's nice to meet you! I have just begun to research this branch of the family. I'm primarily of English & Dutch descent. I don't have much information on John's father, but as I research, I will definitely keep you in mind and be sure to share the information with you.

Thank you so much for your note!

Take Care.

Mindy

RE: Vukelich
No, that's okay.
vukelich is who my blood relative married AFTER he was married to the Russian lady. So I don't have deep ties to this man.
I was just updating so the parents and children would go across the files.
Thank you,
Margie

Donald John Gregoroff
RE: Jean Haprov Gregoroff
Hello cousin-in-law,

I would love anything you have regarding my father and mother(Jean).

My father died February 1, 2005 at the age of 85, He was buried in Woodville Public Cemetary Woodville California. He resided in Lindsay, California where he passed away. She was buried later near him as I heard. My mother Jean was his first wife.

As to my baboonya Ganya, all I remember(I was a kid at the time) is she lived with her daughter Nellie, aunt Nellie's son Johnny and my mother who had Hodgkin's disease when she passed.

As to the unfinished statement, I have no happy memories of my childhood and life with stepmom. When my father passed, I went to Lindsay and stepmom's sister Nellie Ramzoff asked me "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" Too many other bad memories to discuss.

Yes, you and I are about a year apart as my DOB is 10/14/47. And by the way, my wife Sunny is Nee-Nash per molokans, and I have two loving children; Charlene Jean Gregoroff 1/23/78 and Jason Ryan Gregoroff 10/17/87 (almost a birthday gift to me.

Thank you for your time and response,

Donald Gregoroff

Yes Nancy, please do feel free to use any photos i have posted for your family album. I did post them in a fairly good DPI resolution, but i do have extra hi res files if you want a copy, let me know.
And yes the family files and links you sent me helped me a lot. I was able to add and verify names and births-deaths and cemetery burial locations.

Nancy,

Good, I did not make the connection between the names. Transfer the record back to me and I will delete it.

I like your work on the records. It would be nice if they all could be as complete as yours. :-)

Is Kars in the same region as (Lake) Urmia? I have acquaintances that say they are Assyrian that came from Urmia. Time to get out the maps.

Oh. My daughter lives out on North Beale road. Small world!

Talk soon,

Kurt

Marta Papin
Hi Nancy,

I came across an entry for Marta Papin in the cemetery record at the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery. She was not entered yet. I have created and transferred her record to you, as you are much more familiar with the Molokan community. I will stop by the cemetery on Monday and take pictures.

I read in your bio about your interest and I have seen Molokan burials in the Wheatland/Sheridan area of California along highway 65. My relatives also farmed in that area. Once upon a time, I was talking with Millie Cheechov, and she mentioned traveling with her family to visit people there.

I grew up in Vacaville and went to school with Steve Papin, the younger. I see him at class reunions yearly. My father and I used to talk with Mike Papin over dinner at a restaurant, occasionally.

I get to the cemetery on a weekly basis, let me know if I can help with anything. We only have about 1,000 more records to enter to get them all started. Those should be all started in a couple more weeks.

Kurt

Thank you Nancy for transfering over my families memorials. I'll have to ask my cousin Danny more about his dad Pablo. I know Vierka is deceased as well. He was the uncle i didnt really know very well. I know he had 10 children. Danny was the lady and had been adopted out until my grandmother made her sister confess his location on her death bed. I will be traveling to see my family in Mexico on the 23rd and will photograph as much of the cemetery as i can. A lot of the markers were made of wood so i dont know how good their condition will be. I will share them with u when i return.
