John Shoptaw
Hi, Just thought you might want to know that I was finally able to get John Shoptaw transferred to Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery like you suggested about five years ago. Good catch! Mary Ann

No it is not my family. I was in contact with a family member, niece, I think on Facebook. Looking for her family and linking.

Thank you so much for recording this family! I will do my best to connect everyone. I truly appreciate it. Is there some kind of history on your mansion? Thanks again, Terry

May I have your permission to add the photo you took for this memorial to my tree? I would credit you, of course. If not, there's no need to respond, I don't add any photos without permission.
Thank you!

After I sent you a message a few minutes ago I found the original message I sent you. Marion Tilford Anthis is not related to me but I was personally acquainted with his daughter & family by his 2nd wife.

I'm sorry but I don't remember which person I sent you a message about. Could you refresh my memory? Thanks!!

Marion Tilford Anthis - - December 17, 1880 is his birthdate, not his death date. Thought maybe you would appreciate this info.

RE: Shoptaw
At Dublin Memorial Gardens, I asked office caretaker about Shoptaw. There is no information on the blank plaque. She assumes that someone pre-paid for the plaque. The only other Shoptaw is 2 rows over: George Carl & Mabel G (#69008220 & 69008352). I posted the picture, then found them in 1930 Census in Sheridan, Grant, Arkansas with their 1 yr old daughter, Helen L. Shoptaw. Hope this helps.

Bruce A. Coley #32884162
Hi Lin,
I was looking for some info and found that you have posted Bruce in Gallipolis Cemetery.. there isn't a cemetery by that name. SO, I went searching and found that Bruce is intered at the Centenary Cemetery in Green Twsp. It is a beautiful old cemetery up behind the Green Elementary School.
I found his listing on the Gallia Genealogy website. Coley Bruce A. Centenary (GR )nd 3/19/2007.
You might want to move him to the Centenary Cemetary page.
I will see if I can get out there this spring and take a photo of his stone for you.

Frances Shoptaw
Hi Lin
I found the Obit for Frances H. Shoptaw, wife of Joseph A. Shoptaw. I have just now posted it on her bio, Little Prairie Cemetery, Pemiscot Co., Mo. if you are still interested in looking at it.

Dovie Shoptaugh
I am going to add the photo. I try to add part of the obit first. I cannot find it. Do you know anything I can add to her memorial. Any links I could add? There was no other Shoptaugh's that I have found here in Fairlawn. She is buried in a section that has single graves the people near her are Emma French, Mary Brooks, Thomas Brooks, Mae Brooks, J Lee Moore & Harry Edwards.
I hope you can help me add some more info for her.

Hey, Lin, send me an email when you get time. I've lost your email address and I think I might have made a connection.. I need your help, if possible, with determining if there is concrete proof there was a marriage between your aunt, Jessie and a gentleman named Clarence Rainey. If so, I can put you in touch with a cousin of yours on the Rainey side. ... backwards thing about it, it now "officially" makes me related to you by way of my mother AND my father.. lol.. silly Kentuckians. :P
