Stella (Estella) Fonger
Hello, I noticed you have information on Alice Fonger. Was wondering if you had information on Stella (Estella) Fonger, who was also buried in Oakwood Cemetery. Stella was born 8-12-1877 in Canada and died June 21, 1952 in Traverse City Hospital, Traverse City, Michigan USA. She was in the same asylum as Alice Fonger and if it's the right Alice, they were sisters. Am doubrful of a gravestone but maybe you have information on her.
Any information, greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
Diane Wheeler

Hi Jimmy: Well, I am pretty involved tracking down the Whipple family that began with Chief Hushasha. This is all such amazing work. Best wishes, Donald

RE: Memorial Transfer
Thank you Jimmy, I really appreciate it. I am doing well, my two kids live close by and are really close to me and take good care of me. We go to Dick's grave often and still miss him a lot, but he is at peace now and no longer suffering. Our daughter Kelly misses him a lot and it is hard to believe that he has been gone for nine years already. I do have a new man in my life who is very good to me and a really nice guy, but I can never love anyone the way that I loved Dick so I choose to never remarry. I am happy and I hope you are well and all is good with you and your family. Have a happy and safe labor day.
Dolores

William Cole
Baird and Sweet in Geauga Co., Ohio
I got back to Welton cem in Burton. The cylindrical stone cleaned up nicely with water and a nylon brush but it is still unreadable. The stone next to it has dates that appear to be 1871 and 1908 (could be 1903 - 1888 - 1883).

I went to Ancestry and found census records for Howard and Mina (1900 through 1940), Aaron and Virginia (1880 - Howard is with them) and for Bethia and Asael. If you want that information I will send it to you.

Third. - I am photographing grave markers at Briar Hill Cem in Russell Twp, Geauga County and there are 12 graves with the Sweet surname. Could these be your relatives?

RE: Bairds at Welton
I will get back t0 Burton ( there is a maple shop on the town square) but there may not be anything readable on the stone.

Bairds at Welton
I added photos to Bethia Bairds memorial. I also added a photo of the Baird graves as they are together. In that phot0, to the right, is a cylindrical stone which is covered in lichen. I had nothing with me to clean the stone and it is possible that it might still be unreadble with the lichens removed. If you want I can try to get back to Welton and clean the stone with water and a nylon brush. It could be Mina's.

Rosa L. Emery
Your entry for Rosa L. Emery 41566455 has her in the wrong cemetery. She's actually in Spotted Tail Cemetery aka: Episcopal Cemetery in Rosebud, South Dakota on BIA Hwy 1. Rosebud Lakota Cemetery is actually 4 miles north of Mission, South Dakota on Hwy 83 at mile marker 28, just before the BIA Hwy 9 turn. I listed a Rosa L. Emery 94091817 in the Spotted Tail Cemetery some time back. If you want to move your Rosa, I can delete the one I have there. Let me know. SMD

RE: Scott's in Mission, South Dakota
Your welcome. One member called the church to make sure I was correct, they confirmed Episcopal owns the lot, Methodist bury there as well. Some people do call it the Episcopal Church Cemetery - but it's actual name is Trinity. I tried to get F.A.G. to combine them but I'm so new they seemed to ignore me. I got no response. Perhaps i did not contact them correctly. Regards, SMD
