RE: Joseph Lestinsky
Hi Ann, Sue and I love genealogy and helping others with theirs. However Sue passed just 12 days ago and I will no longer be able to maintain all of or memorials. So I will gladly transfer all your family members to you. {Sue would have wanted it this way} Just send me the transfer info and give me a little time. Rich

RE: Looking for John G;eason
Thanks, Ann. I do have several O'Reilly relatives in St Joseph's in Bristol. I think I've got them all. My next "field" work will be in Old St Joseph's Cemetery in Waterbury, looking for O'Reilly's and Groodys. Wish me luck!

You're very welcome, Ann. I'm very close to the Old St Francis Cem., and have many relatives there. I'll continue to keep my eyes open for the site you're seeking. You never know!

Looking for John G;eason
Dear Ann,
I'm new to Find a Grave, and was exploring the site when I spotted your request for John Gleason. Since St Francis Old Cemetery is close by, I went over and tried to find him. I could not make an exact match, but did find John Francis Gleason, son of John and Margaret. John Francis was born 1852, died at age 21, 1873, putting him pretty close to the year your John Gleason died. The stones are not in good shape, either having toppled, or having been originally been set flush with the ground. I did take photo's, but don't know how to put them on Find a Grave. If you think this is the man you were looking for, I'll be happy to e-mail to you.

Sincerely,
Eileen Ryan 7-5-14

RE: Anthony Lagasse
I know about that name but I don't know why she is buried there.

Maybe someday someone will write me about it.
This is why I have been writing both in French and in English about these people and many others.

RE: Clark Family
Thank you for the transfer offer but the Clarks are distant in-laws; I haven't researched them in any depth. They'll be well-tended n your hands until the day a blood relative stops by.

Thomas J. Lagasse?
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/VZPY-D1T

Could it be a son of Harvey Louis Jr?

This infant died in 1955.

I see no older Thomas Lagasse in that branch.

He has to be related, but I don't find him in my files.

I will find him.

RE: Last call
The Powe-Costello memorial is related to Harvey Louis Lagasse.

These people are related to my Lagasse lineane.

Frank A. Powe is the father of Maude Powe who married Harvey Louis Lagasse Sr. His son Harvey Louis Jr, was a bombardier aboard a B-24 shot down over Rumania. Taken prisoner but survived the war.

I had written several posts about that branch of Lagasses but never had any reply.

I will see if they are related. I am sure they are.
I will keep your pictures on the memorial. I will add those I took also, and also put all the pictures I took in St. Thomas and St. Joseph cemeteries. I also have more headstones in St. Joseph Church cemetery...

You have these two.

Fred Lagase born 1889, son of Frank Lagasse and Sophie Archambault.

Aurore Lagase born 1896, daughter of Anthony and Dehlia

I hope I can find some of their descendants with these postings.

Thanks again,

Pierre

RE: Transfer
I don't want to take too much of your headstones just those related to these people that I know so much about.

Aurore who is buried close by is also related.

I had taken many pictures of St. Thomas when I went there in 2012 and 2013.

I will keep you posted if I find more headstones.

I do this only for descendants to find these ancestors and all the research I have done since 2007.

Again thank you for the transfers.

Transfer
Thanks for transfering Joseph Lagassey.
You also have his father and mother.
Anthony Lagasse and Delia Bertrand.

I can maintain those also if you want as I have pictures of them. Their son William was killend in France in 1917 during the first battle the Americans took part in.

RE: Lagase or Lagassey
Hi,

I am not new with Find A Grave, but I don't post that many headstones since I write a blog about genealogy.

I am directly related to these people, and I will gladly maintain these memorials if you allow me.

This will entice me to add more headstones.

Thanks

Pierre

Ann, I have been doing bios for all those in my Landry family tree that I have. If there are any living children I just remark as to 1 son, 1 daughter, 1 brother. I have had no problems with from Findagrave doing that. There are no living children of this couple.

RE: Casey Family
Dear Ann,

Thank you so very much for the photos of the Casey gravestone and the footstones of Daniel, Margaret, and their daughter Margaret. Margaret Carney was the sister of my great-grandfather, Thomas Kearney. ("Carney" and "Kearney" were interchanged it seems throughout the 1800's.)

It is so kind of you to let me know that you have photos of John and Timothy Casey's footstones also. They were 2 sons of Daniel and Margaret. I did not realize they were buried with their parents at this cemetery. You have given me a "bonus" with this discovery! I will create memorial pages for them today, so you can add the photos you have.

Joseph Gamache is a grandson of Daniel and Margaret, (a son of their daughter Mary). So thank you for seeing that stone and taking a photo of it.

I don't know how to adequately express my thanks to you for these photos. It's a wonderful kindness that you give to us and all I can do is say "Thank You!".

Thanks Ann for adding the photos at West Cem Plainville. I had a lot of transcripts but didn't get a chance to get the photos until recently. That is very thoughtful of you.
