If you will increase the number of photos allowed, I will post Harry's headstone. The site will not allow me to do it now because of all the photos. Or maybe you remove one so I can post the headstone.

|George Selvidge||John C Selvidge|
Stumbled on to this and I am hoping you can solve a mystery. The information state among other children, John C Selvidge and Eliza Selvidge had a son William Russsell Selvidge- my great grandfather. He is buried in Ardmore OK with my parents and grandparents He died I believe in 1916. We were always told WRS' father was George Washington Selvidge born around 1810 and married to Elizabeth Luety Selvidge which is logged as Eliza with the same descendent info. The mystery is no one can find any record of GWS birth or who his parents were. WRS was born in Cleveland TN in 1837. All fits but the name.
We assumed their was something fishy about GWS since no info existed on his origin and the other Selvidges' are pretty well documented Witness protection, illegitimate child-something juicy. The story is GWS was pastor at some Baptist Church in Dalton GA and Selvidge Street in said Dalton is named after none other than GWS. We have tin type picture that was provided to this church for some history. The church has record of him being the minister but no record of where he came from or where he went.
We are excited to know where your source records came from for G W= Selvidge and Eliza Selvidge came from. thanks for you help

Sarah, My apologizes, but I've been really behind getting back to folks since the tornados played havoc here over a week ago. Thanks for transferring Foy and I've done some work on his Honolulu memorial, but I've still got his bio to put on. I'll get to it this week and update the one you created for him as well. Thanks again for remembering him and hopefully one day I'll find a photo of him. Sincerely, Allen
