Luckett
William Cox Luckett is my great, great grandfather. Thank you for all of the Luckett information that you have added. I am putting together a book on the Luckett's. I have already written a book on my mother's family. If I can get any pictures at the Hunter Cemetery I will add them. If the stones are there may not be able to read them.

Thanks Linda Luckett Salisbury

Hi Michael,

There is no "tab" to request a transfer, just put it through on the suggest a correction (edit) tab and just ask if the memorial can be transferred to you, that's all. Anyway, I have transferred him to you.

Shawnee Cemetery
Hi Michael,

Have you walked Shawnee Cemetery to look for these graves?

Joseph Ives
Elizabeth Barney Ives
Josiah Ives
Jennie Ives

For Elizabeth Barney you indicated there could be a family plot there. Did you mean a Barney family plot or Ives family plot?

Just wondering before I take a drive out there.

Thanks,

Janet Ives Price

RE: Lemuel Farmer
Hi, This Lemuel is not located at Fort Leavenworth but at Villa Eden Cemetery which is abandoned in a farmer's field, I think they may also call it Fall Leaf. I got the little info there was on Lemuel from the Library.
I looked the name up on the National Database, since you mentioned Fort Leavenworth, and the only Lemuel Farmer in a National Cemetery is Lemuel John Farmer 9-10-1912 to 12-18-1998, US ARMY, who served in WWII. He is at Hillview East Cemetery in LaGrange, GA. I think his memorial is on FindaGrave.
Sorry I could not be of more help.
Joyce

Hi Mike
Hi i was told you where looking for a John and Mary Alves in St.John cemetery in New Bedford. I have family buried in that cemetery.Do you have an idea which section they are buried at? They have an office and this cemetery is nice it has street names for each row so its easy to find someone if you know which section there in.It is a very big cemetery and i live 10 min from there willing to help you see if you can find a section.

Thanks

RE: Hello Pam
Michael,

Good Morning! I am the great-great-granddaughter of William & Mary Ann Luckett Miller. Mary Ann is the daughter of John & Martha Rainey Luckett. I will be happy to share what I have. Most of what I have on the Luckett family is what I have found recently on the website. I never realized that the Luckett family was sooo big & that there were so many people out there researching them. I can definitely get you the information on William & Mary Ann's family.

I am in the process of getting my Luckett family tree uploaded to Ancestry.com; but, in the meantime, lease email me directly at wushock96@aol.com & I will be happy to send you my gen report.

Well you got lucky today
In a way. I found the book I copyed G. W. Luckette from. It is a old copy of Footprints Quartly from Forth Worth, Texas. It has a list of cemeteries. All that I find in it is just his name and the dates. I have looked and I dont see any other by that name in it. It was written in Nov. 1968 by the Fort Worth Genealogy Society. Vol. 11 Number 4. I am sending you the page from it.

Any others, that you would like for me to check on?? Would you also like for me to go by and get photos of the headstones - weather cooperating? It's only a couple miles away.

James Luckett
Granddaughter born when he was 13?
I think there is an error in the writeup on Samuel Luckett. It says "according to statement of his granddaughter born ... in 1769." Since he was born in 1756, that would be really fast work to have a granddaughter born in 1769. I know this error did not originate with you -- I see it all over the internet. But, let's make that 1869.
