|Mary||Isaac James Straw|
we have talked before. after further research, I have located Isaac James Straw buried in the Spring Valley Ceme. he died in 1868 and his mother Margaret Rebecca Long Straw died the same year 1868. I am reasonably sure she is also buried in
same cemetery. They probably died of some disease like Typhoid Fever..
Also the same year, Rachel Bundy Kendig and her 8 yr old daughter Sarah Ann Kendig died in 1868. these two families were close friends..so I assume these two probably died of same disease adn most likely are buried in same cemetery..in fact, rachels younger brother Christopher is buried in Spring Valley. do you have any idea where I might research
Rachel and sarah ann's burial???
thanks so much

I have linked him to his parents and his wife. Thank you for the information. Is he related to you? If so, I would be willing to transfer to your care.

Hi Again - are the Dery's your kin? would you like a transfer. I looked at the contributor for Eleanor and it looks like there is no way to contact and he may just be one who put in many graves from a cemetery list without looking for addtl info. You could add flowers to that one with the info of where the other marker is etc. unless you would like me to do that. Please let me know. Thanks for all the info :)

If she already has a memorial then I need to delete mine, perhaps you could send the info to that contributor, she may have a marker at Stafford but here remains are in Florida. Folks have been known to do that. Unless she was moved. I will keep this one in place until we see what happens :)

I know you are busy and there is No hurry. Those People aren't going anywhere. LOL Hope you are having a great fall. Hugs from Alaska, Patsy

|Carolyn Whitaker||Madison Y Johnson|
I just want to commend you for putting a link to an extremely valuable piece of information regarding the arrest of Madison Johnson and the war between the states. The reason it made me look for him was due to an article published
"the Knights of the Golden Circle."
Date: Thursday, September 18, 1862
Paper: New York Tribune (New York, NY)
which gives an account of Lewis Ballard who was arrested and also sent to Fort Lafayette at the same time as Johnson.
I am studying the KGC and their activities in Kansas and Missouri during the war. It is well worth studying as to what REALLY went on during the war. No one ever looks at the real reasons for the war and the atrocities the North did as well. Everything is always written from a Northern point of view.
Just wanted to let you know. Thanks
