RE: John Henry
When the city cemetery digitized their records, they were working off of hand-written records for most of the early burials. I've run across quite a few misspellings over the last few years--it can make it hard to find people, that's for sure! The older records were pretty hard to read at times, and misrecorded to begin with in others.

pontrhydyfen is the manager of Jack's memorial, so that's who your new corrections would have gone to. Hopefully it gets sorted soon.

If for any reason you need the photo I took of the stone, I keep my photo files in case someone needs them and can forward the photo to you. If I can be of any other assistance, please let me know.

Have a lovely week!

RE: John Henry
Hello there!

I checked my records, and it looks like I did delete that memorial. When you sent me the edits, I put them through, then realized not long after that I had inadvertently made a duplicate, owing to a spelling difference. I deleted the duplicate per Find A Grave's rules. The original is here:

I'm glad you asked about it, actually--I couldn't remember who had sent the edits so that I could let them know about the original memorial.

Best regards,

Koehler, Philip Memorial: 73357946
Hello Jennifer,
I had sent you an e-mail earlier via the edit option to suggest any other correction. I sent you a transcript of Philip's obituary from 1900. I also checked that a copy would be sent to myself (I usually do). As of this writing, a copy had NOT been sent to my e-mail address. Would you please be so kind as to check to make sure you did get that suggestion (sent this am 2/17/2015). I just hope the suggestion (and others I sent to other contributors) isn't in cyberspace somewhere :)
Thank you ever so much for checking,
~Berta Pep

Van Artsdalen Family
Hi Jennifer,

I noticed you're related and researching the Van Artsdalen family.

My hubby's Great Great Grandfather, Harrison "Harry VanArtsdalen was the son of Jacob VanArtsdalen and Elizabeth "Eliza" Kiple Geary of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I was wondering which of the VanArtsdalen family members you're related to and where they are from.

Have a blessed evening.

Isaac James Straw
Hello, Jennifer,
we have talked before. after further research, I have located Isaac James Straw buried in the Spring Valley Ceme. he died in 1868 and his mother Margaret Rebecca Long Straw died the same year 1868. I am reasonably sure she is also buried in
same cemetery. They probably died of some disease like Typhoid Fever..

Also the same year, Rachel Bundy Kendig and her 8 yr old daughter Sarah Ann Kendig died in 1868. these two families were close I assume these two probably died of same disease adn most likely are buried in same fact, rachels younger brother Christopher is buried in Spring Valley. do you have any idea where I might research
Rachel and sarah ann's burial???
thanks so much

Thanks for the links requested. I also sent some birth info, can't remember if this is now a duplicate request.

Thanks for all your work.

Not sure if I want to do the maintenance on any of them at this time.

I have linked him to his parents and his wife. Thank you for the information. Is he related to you? If so, I would be willing to transfer to your care.

Hi Again - are the Dery's your kin? would you like a transfer. I looked at the contributor for Eleanor and it looks like there is no way to contact and he may just be one who put in many graves from a cemetery list without looking for addtl info. You could add flowers to that one with the info of where the other marker is etc. unless you would like me to do that. Please let me know. Thanks for all the info :)

Added by Maggie O on Jan 22, 2014 1:23 PM

If she already has a memorial then I need to delete mine, perhaps you could send the info to that contributor, she may have a marker at Stafford but here remains are in Florida. Folks have been known to do that. Unless she was moved. I will keep this one in place until we see what happens :)
