Mary Jo Andrade Burkhard
RE: Mary Richmond Find A Grave Memorial# 115676523
Hi Joy, I read her tombstone, it stated that she died when she was 52 years old. She died in 1802 so I subtracted and got that date. To me its better than saying unknown, you at least know the year. the same goes for her husband John, the tombstone stated that he died when he was 73 years old in 1812, so I subtracted and got that date. It was just an FYI when I saw it was missing and thought you might like the info. There wasn't anything about a maiden name on the stone. Sorry. MJ

OK, I figured out how to remove my original request and add a new one for a photo of Nathaniel Haggard's grave. I hope this brings results. Thanks.

My pleasure. When I went over to take that photo, they were adding dates to three other tombstones, so I can update those too.

Re Sarah Ann Kincaid
Sarah Ann Kincaid Born no later than 1843 in Kentucky (1880 abt 1841, 1900 Nov 1838, 1910 abt 1842, 1920 abt 1843 Censuses all in Denison Grayson County except 1880, Death Cert 12 Nov 1841), Died 7 Mar 1922 per DC. Father born in Kentucky. Married Rev. Andrew J Kincaid and buried with him, adopted Ida Daughtery in 1877.

Sarah Durrett Born 1845 in Tennessee (15 years old in 1860 Census per her mother), Died before 1885 (not alive to inherit when her mother died). Father born in Virginia.

Note several discrepancies between these two people. Pretty clear that they are not the same. Nothing personal here; just trying to keep the record straight. What info makes you so sure that they are the same. Also there are several family trees on that say her name is Hicks and father was Coleman Hicks and mother was Louisa Crutchfield.

Sarah Boone Ramsey
Hi Joye,

I noticed you created a record for my great great grandmother Sarah Boone Ramsey. Her memorial number is 97282315. I visited the Mt. Joye cemetery in Rarden, OH over the weekend but was unable to locate her grave. I'm wondering if her stone is one that is unreadable. If you could assist me further in finding her grave I would greatly appreciate it.

Any time. You don't need to bother asking for locations yourself. Just email me the memorial numbers you need and I'll get them for you. I usually get them the same day or next day. If you request it, it may take a lot longer if someone else claims it.

RE: Durrett
Oh we are not talking about moving bodies. We are talking about ignoring the cemetery and builDing a parking lot over it. We have spoken with an attorney, are aware of Texas law "protecting Historic cemeteries", have the city arborist involved because of the removal of 5 huge post oaks, a violation of Dallas city ordinances, applied for a Historic Designation with the state last August, have spoken with local media, etc.
The city tells us it is a civil dispute ($1000s of dollars in court costs). State law says disturbing a grave without a court order is a jail felony under state law. But no one appears interested yet in enforcing the law.

More later, Joe and Donna

RE: Thomas C Durrett

We are currently desperately trying to save this cemetery from being paved over by the current owner of the land surrounding the cemetery which could be very costly. We will get back to you with further discussions of why we believe that these people are buried here. BTW, we have spoken with descendants of Richard Haines Durrett who say he is buried in Grayson County, Texas. Rice lived in Aledo in Parker County when he died. We do not know where he is buried. He briefly owned the land surrounding the cemetery after buying it from Thomas Smith, Jr., before losing it in a Sheriff's sale for unpaid taxes. He could be buried here or with his dad. More about Thomas Durrett later.

Joy, Raulino & Mary already have memorials but the names are spelled differently. Rollin J Silveira is 23908008 and Mary F is 23908011. I think the photo I took is better, so I'll post it on those 2 memorials along with the one that's already there. If you're sure the names you have are correct, you can request edits which are now being handled quite quickly. Alternately, I can also add the photo here, but I'm sure these are the same memorials.

I have thought it over and will not hand her memorial over to you. I did all the work and she is my father's step grandmother and buried with his grandfather and parents.

The Durretts have already been linked to her. I believe you said your husband is adopted and you traced his family as a beginning in genealogy.

That just isn't close enough.
