Just thought I would let you know that I have a death record for Alice that says she died in Del Norte, California. It is from the 1940-1997 California Death Index.

I've been working on answering a question on ancestry.com Chester County, Pennsylvania Board:
Here's that thread: http://boards.ancestry.com/thread.aspx?mv=flat&m=9313&p=localities.northam.usa.states.pennsylvania.counties.chester
I've entered a findagrave entry here:
The obit says she was born in Wise, Va. Her mother is Clara and William. Can you find a link between your Clemons and this burial? If so, I'd love to link her.
I'm not family, I'm just trying to help where I can.

Hi Jerry, I beleive we have "talked" before but as I look at my tree I have Spencer married to Malissa Vance June 12, 1874 they have a daughter Sarah Jane Bennett Oct 29, 1874 . They I have he married Dicie Mullins Sept 21, 1876. Thaat means Walter Bennett would have to be Dicie's son if he was born in 1887. What do you have on that?

Thank you for contacting me. Nannie Robinson is my great grandmother and she married John A. Hall my great grandfather. they had a son Hubert Russell Hall my grandfather, he married Virgie Owens my grandmother. They had a daughter named Nannie Elizabeth Hall who is my mother. I'm in the process of getting a scanner to scan some photos that I have. I'll let you know when I have gotten it, and scanned some of the photos that we have. We don't have many, I wish I had more than what I have. We had some that have disappeared over the years, and not sure who has them or what happened to them. I wished that I had started my family tree sooner than I did. Many of the family members are no longer with us, and I'm sure I could have gotten a lot of info from them about other people in the family. If you possibly may have some information on them, I would appreciate it very much. Its very hard trying to get the correct info on the family. Hope to talk to you soon. Thanks for showing me that web site. I'll be checking it out.

Just found a listing for Matilda Etta Smith daughter of James Henry Smith and Ester Kilgore which is the line I am searching. Can you contact if you have any further information.
Added by Marsha on Dec 26, 2014 2:28 PM
In your search have you come across a James H Smith married to Esther Kilgore in 1846? He also had a son Marion. So many names you have posted in Stallard Cemetery seem to be names in his line and I am trying to see if there is a possible connection.

|Darla||cemeteries in Norton,Va.|
Hi Jerry, Wondering if Highland & Laurel Grove,Norton,Va. are different cemeteries? My niece was visiting in Norton a few weeks ago. She went to a cemetery near 10th. Street side of Norton & couldn't find our Stone family gravesites. My grandfather is buried in Highland. My Uncle in Laurel Grove. I have pictures of Laurel Grove, but, not of my grandfather's in Highland Cemetery. Thanks, Darla (Duncan)Moore

You are welcome. Easy to make changes when the bio is well written instead of a census report of the like. Did you notice his wife is also so there?

|Dennis Reedy||RE: Buford Marshall dates|
Mary was my dad's sister. There was also a connection through the Bise lineage. Mary and Dad's mother was Jane Bise. I think Lila Carty was her aunt. Grandmother's father was Dave Bise. I think Ronnie lives around Wise somewhere. His sister Doris is between Castlewood and Dickensonville. I used to come to Wise nearly every Sunday with my dad to see Grandmother and Mary. There is only one of 13 of dad and Mary's family left, a sister in Evansville, IN. Well, this is probably a lot more than you wanted to know. I live at Haysi. You would be a welcome visitor here anytime.
