Ulrey family links at Monte Vista Cemetery
Wow! You're quick! I think you completed the link edits before I even sent them, LOL! Thanks so much for your great work!

I'm about to send you one final name edit for this family. Cora Lee (White) Ulrey, the wife of William F. Ulrey, should have the middle name Leah. This comes from her great grandson, Jon Hathaway. The marriage certificate here at Saguache confirms her middle name as Leah, too.

Thanks again for all of your efforts and work for Find-A-Grave!

Mary Alice Bennett Memorial# 63448025
Finally, we found obituaries for this family! I've used the edit tabs to type them for you and when find time to add them to the memorials, you can delete the earlier info since it only repeats. Thanks for helping me with my mtDNA line connections! It is so appreciated and if you wish to transfer any of these family members to me, I will be most happy to maintain them. Regards, Cynthia

Janice Stewart Rush
Doshie Wells Miller
Hello Judy,

The name you have as Doshie Wells Miller is incorrect. Doshie was my grandfather's sister. Doshie's correct name was:

Doshie Meadows Miller.

The correct names for Doshie's parents are:

Louis Thomas (Tommy) Meadows and Emma Wells Meadows.

Doshie and her parents are buried there at New Prospect.

If you could please make the corrections, I would appreicate it. Thanks, and thank you for the work you do.

Mary Alice Bennett #63448025
Hi, I left a correction for you regarding Mary Alice Bennett. She never married so Bennett is her last name. She is buried with her niece Bertha Boyd and that's where the confusion came from. I also left on the edit tab a transfer request. Thank you for establishing these family memorials! CindyLee

Catherine Cramer
Wayside Cemetery, AL
Found this, not sure if its same but may help to explain the name

The cemetery was established in the 1830s. It will be difficult to get a complete survey of all tombstones due to the overgrown nature of the cemetery, which has no perpetual care. Several tombstones have been broken by fallen trees. Individuals and construction companies have used the lower portion of the cemetery near the railroad tracks as a dumping ground. Wayside church members maintained the cemetery until they became too old. The city and county determined that the cemetery was privately owned by the Kirby family.

James Champion
Pinegrove Cemetery, Anniston (hope that helps!)

I have also found a Champion family member whose obit reads Wayside and the only one I could find was in Coosa County, an hour and a half away. Thought perhaps she should be listed with her family as well and since you have the Champions thought I'd send info to you (she's not listed on findagrave)

Rose Marie Champion, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Champion, died 2/14/63. Survivors also include 10 brothers and 3 sisters (big families back then! Have found families with 18!) Obit was in the 2/15/63 issue of the Anniston Star.

Any questions, contact me. Thanks for helping to clear this up. Perhaps they changed the name of the cemetery?

Hi there
Am hoping you can help me find a long lost relationship with the Murdock Family. I see you created a Find A Grave fact for Jordan M Murdock 1857-1936, detailing his parents. The only way you'd know this is if you are kin, I'm hoping.
You listed his father as William Murdock and mother as Dora Knightin which is very hopeful to me.

My question is how would William come to be related to Thomas H Murdock, my GGrandfather who moved to Ashford, Al in 1892.. his wife was also a relative of the Knighton's from Cuthbert, Ga. His brother was James M Murdock, Ashford, and another brother, Frank, also lived there.

Looking at the Census, Jordan Murdock was also from the Ashford area.. so hopefully, I can find a reason for these brothers to relocate from Ga into Al before the turn of the century.

MAYBE you can help?!
Thanks in advance..

Now that I reread your last message, (Haha!) yes, I would combine the photos and I don't think it matters which of the Ammorette memorials you delete. I think I'm making this more confusing than it need be, LOL!

RE: Bronaughs in Monte Vista Cemetery
Congratulations on your marriage! Yes, there should be three Bronaughs instead of four. That main stone looks so confusing to me. There are just William A., his wife Ammorette, and their son Walter F. I wasn't sure how to explain as far as changing the memorials, but whichever way is the easiest, I guess.

Bronaughs in Monte Vista Cemetery
Hi Judy. Gollee you have a lot of memorials!! You've been very busy. I've been researching the Bronaughs who used to live in Saguache. The main stone has the father and mother names, W. [William] A. and Ammorette at the top and bottom, and their son Walter F. Bronaugh in the middle. He died for some reason at a very early age. The smaller 'Father' and 'Mother' stones must mark the burial spots of William and Ammorette. They had moved to Rio Grande County from Saguache by 1910.
I sent in automatic updates for the smaller stones, but you may want to make the changes in a different way. I'm very impressed in the volume of your work!!! What a blessing you are.
