RE: Bowen transfers
Thank You Jim,
But do want to thank you for taking good care of them.......I actually think that Alonzo was the only Bowen to go to Calif and it was probably because that is due to military service.
Again my Thanks and will try to take good care of them both.

RE: Alonzo Bowen
Hi Jim,
I have just began accepting sites to manage...however I am having problems in them letting me edit info....and not sure what the problem is.
And I noticed an error in what I sent you on Alonzo...he was the gr. son of my gr grandfather's brother, [Thomas & Tabitha Bowen - William Andrew Bowen and Mary Roe - Alonzo Jason Bowen]
Love doing this genealogy...and sincerely appreciate all that you and many others have hoping I can figure out what I'm doing wrong....and then will get back to you about maintaining Alonzo's......OK?

RE: Colonel Spurgeon

Ooop. * huh? * Oh, I see...
Lol, yes, you requested that
and I linked him (apropos, eh?)

I was just letting you know it'd
been done, but then I forgot
that the EDIT TAB now sends a
"processed" email.

Regardless, thank you for your
kind help and your findAgrave
work, too! Hope your Thursday
is a good one.

That is fine, Jim. I remember seeing Ralph's grave after a Licklider reunion, one Father's Day. I consider you family, too!

RE: Lucinda Shoemate
You're very welcome. One other Shoemate stone I took a picture of, that is near John & Lucy's, is Harold S. (March 2, 1903 - Dec. 16, 1975) and Alelia R. (July 22, 1907 - June 25, 1969), if they are relatives of yours.

John Henry Shoemate
Thank you for your suggestion and concern about the Memorial for John Shoemate. But since he was my Grandfather I do not plan on removing this site.
Thank you again, Jim Licklider.

Ken Ryan
RE: Mary Ryan
You know the information that was provided at Mary's funeral says that she had a son named Robert Bowen. The only question is why didn't he show up in any of the census and who provided the information to the obituary? So, I have added him to my ancestry data as her son for research purposes and hopefully we can get more info.

RE: Mary Ryan
Hi Ray;

Looking back on the census records for Mary and Willie it shows that they were without children in the 1900, 1910, 1920 and in the 1930 Her mother Eunice lived with them. He got married for a second time and Robert may have been his new wifes son. He married Etta Lois McNew in about 1942. I talked to my dad a number of times when he was alive and he only knew her married name but said they had moved to the South (California) and they had lost contact. Of course her brother was my grandfather and I knew her sister Leila quite well. I don't have any pictures of her in any of the family albums but I do of everyone else. Hope this helps and that is my correct email address.

Mary Frances Elizabeth Ryan
Thank you for all your hard work. This is my great aunt who died in San Bernadino, CA. She was actually born 12 Apr 1868 in Clinton, Henry, Missouri. She and all her brothers and sisters were born in Missouri except one brother, my grandfather, Joseph G. Ryan who was born in Arkansas.

If I can be of any help with this family let me know.

Leonard Dean Davis
I was talking with my mom yesterday and she said that everyone in MO call my grandfather Dean not Leonard. He was the last son of Willie & Mary Matilda Davis.
22 Aug 1924 - 18 Jan 1994
He is buried in Beth Eden Cemetery in Newberry, SC with his wife, Nellie. They had 2 children; both are still living. Each of them had 1 child each. One would be me.
