Thank you for building this memorial! Miles Davis was my great great grandfather. My great grandfather was Miles Lowry Davis Sr. and my grandfather was Robert Newton Davis.

Melanie, your bio for William Edward Temple says he had 9 kids, and with the question mark I am guessing you are not sure of the number. Just wanted to let you know I just added graves for two of his children that died as infants: Shelton and Nelson. Didn't know if that would answer any questions for you since they would not appear on any of the census records. :)

|JBGF||Oak Grove Cemetery Correction|
Hi Melanie. I recently took photos at the New Oak Grove Cemetery to add to Find A Grave and after investigating a bit, realized that the Oak Grove Cemetery you added to Find A Grave is the Old Oak Grove Cemetery. I took photos at the New Oak Grove Cemetery which is on Peartree Road on the other side of Halstead about half a mile away. Could you possibly add "Old" to the cemetery name to differentiate between the two? It would make it easier with photo requests. Thanks. Jen

It was my pleasure, Melanie. I enjoy volunteering on FindAGrave. I went to your mother and father's memorial also. Thank you for sharing them. They were quite the dapper couple!

Sorry about the long delay answering. We were out of the state twice, once for two years, and then again for 18 months. The Newbern Cemetery in Powells Point is off U.S. 158 to the east, .1 mile up Buster Newbern Road (SR 1121). Hope this will help you locate the cemetery. Went there in 2002 but haven't been back - haven't entered any since then.

I was at the cemetery today to take the picture of Robert Dickinson's headstone only to find there is'nt one yet. I talked to the groundskeeper who told me there wasnt one yet. I took pictures of the spot he was buried at. The groundskeeper also told me his grandson was buried next to him in the next row. I took a picture of this marker.
What do you want me to do? I can post the picture of the space he is buried in if you like. I would be happy to go back and take a picture of the grave marker when there is one. I can also send you the pictures that I took, including his grandson. Please let me know what you want to do.
