Military Markers
Jon, I'm retired from the V.A. and can tell you exactly how to get a military marker. Contact me at s_whittington@bellsouth.net and I'll explain.

Mary was my 2nd great grandmother. I know flash floods were a problem for the area.

Hi - I walked part of the newer cemetery today with no luck. I am going back in the next couple of days to hunt some more.

Wofford graves
Today was very overcast (and cold!), and I am not very satisfied with the clarity and contrast. I will retake the pictures for their graves and replace the photos. It will be a week or two...Sorry.

Henslee
Glad you found them! :-) Hillcrest is the nicest one around and probably the largest! If you are looking for anyone else, let me know! I added all the Henslee's buried at Greenlawn.

Henslee's
I noticed you have two requests for photos for individuals you believe are buried at Greenlawn in Bakersfield, CA. I cannot locate the Henslee's you have listed in Greenlawn's database. They may be buried at Union Cemetery or Hillcrest which are larger cemeteries. Hope that helps!

RE: Ricardo Castano memorial
The lady behind the counter pulled out this big book that had hand written notes and she said SF#1 but no location of burial there. I will ask her again (they are soooooo nice there) and see what is said. I will probably go Saturday. It will probably end up being SF#1 but unmarked.

RE: Jackson Morton grave
The area is not marked with lot numbers. Section 3 has about 500+ graves. We drove about 70 miles round trip and it took us about 1.5 hours to look for a grave that wasn't marked?! Thank goodness we had another cemetery to go to and had some success there. But please, do not ask people to locate graves that are not marked unless you can provide additional information ... like "he's buried in an unmarked grave in the Morton family plot," or "he's buried in an unmarked grave next to so-and-so." Check with someone associated with the cemetery. So ladies who were also at the cemetery suggested writing to the Evergreen Cemetery Association in Ballinger. You might try that.

Thomas Morton photo request
The volunteers will need for you to call the cemetery and get the location. They (Sparkman Hillcrest) do not give findagrave volunteers burial locations but if you call they should give it to you.
Their number is 214 363 5401. Thanks for your cooperation. As noted on the cemetery page, they will not cooperate with findagrave volunteers.
Thanks!

Jim & Judy Harlan
Satira Jane Harber
I am in the process of posting the photo for William Arthur Harber's headstone. His wife however is a different matter. She is listed as Susan S. in the 1920 census, as Satira S. in the 1930 census, and as Susan S. in the 1940 census. Her grave marker lists her as Susan Tira. She did not have a Find A Grave memorial so I create one for her (# 118844954) under the name on the marker. I hope this information is correct, if not let me know and I will fix it.

We were in Santa Fe a couple of weeks ago and picked a cemetery to photograph for Billion Graves. I have been going through my pictures and adding pictures and memorials to Memorial Gardens where needed. Glad I was able to post one of your relative.

RE: Newell grave
I gave Mr. Chavez the name and I will let you know when he is able to get me the info. If I can get a plot # I can usually find at least where they should be. There was a fire at the main building so they do not have some records. The older ones seem to be the ones they can't find. Deb

William Hood photo request
Hi, the volunteers would be happy to fill your photo request however we will need a burial location to do so.
Can you please contact Laurel Land and get a burial location for your request? The number is 214 371 1336

or to email them, the link is:
http://www.laurellanddallas.com/home/contact_us.html

There are over 233 photo requests currently and the volunteers cannot ask for that many locations to fill requests. With a location, your request will get filled pretty quickly. Thanks for your help. : )

It will be important to know which Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. When you have this information, please resubmit your request. I have suspended my photography until mid July.
Thanks

RE: Much Appreciated!
I will check around/do some sleuthing and see what I can uncover. Maybe we can solve the mystery. Possibly a family membe kept the remains and burial never happened?
