I'm brand new, so probably doing this wrong.George is my Paternal Grandmothers third husband. We strongly believe he died in 1957. Also, since i believe he has no living relatives, (his daughter is buried next to him, she was a child,), i would very much like to manage his memorial and add what i know about him. If you are not invested in keeping him, i would be grateful. Thank you,
Harold Calvin Franks

RE: Rawlings photos
It was my pleasure. But when I go to a cemetery I set out to photograph the entire thing. May take me several trips but that is how I like to do it. It gave me great pleasure to see that some of the photos were some that had been requested.

Mike Surgeon
please disregard my other post
Please disregard the previous message I left. Of course that John Rosa did not serve in the civil war, he was born during the war. I think I have been staring at this screen too long looking at too many John Rosas in the census. Sorry about that.

John Rosa
This John Rosa buried in Indian Creek is my great great grandfather. Many of my ancestors are buried there. I am trying to determine if this is the John Rosa who served in the 97th Illinois Infantry Regiment during the Civil War. That unit was formed in Calhoun Co.and that name is on the company roster.I have my doubts because Army records list John Rosa as 32 years old ( don't know if that is at enlistment or discharge). There is a John Rosa buried at Sunset Cem. in Quincy without birth/death dates. The stone has 97th Ill.Inf on it. Any info would be appreciated.

RE: Hammett photo's
He plans to see a family member and also check at city hall to see if he can come up with some helpful information on this. He is very busy and it may take him a while to complete this.

RE: Byrne correction
No, I'm not related. My husband and I visited the cemetery on a trip to LA a couple of months ago so I took 100 or so photos and am slowly adding them. Came across his son, Walter, so did a little research. Unfortunately I missed Mathew's monument when I was there. I can tell I missed something unique.

Melinda Routh
Wm. Barnes - Itasca TX Cemetary

Thanks for asking if I would take a photo of Mr. Barnes headstone. I don't know when I will be over there and remember to bring my camera at the same time. I would highly recommend you contact by phone Clay Dean Hamilton of Vaughan Funeral Home in Itasca at 254-687-2521. This lady is the cemetery curator and has a full sized MAP of the cemetery. She would be the one to tell you exactly what you want. I am not sure if she works on-line very much. Clay Dean is an elderly lady who has lived in Itasca all her life. You can tell her Melinda Terrell (she knows me) referred you to her for grave information.

Best of luck!
