Thanks for the reply ! My Cathcarts are from the Union/Spartanburg area of SC. The Henry Hamilton Cathcart that you maintain (12536175) was the father of William Cathcart (156702392). William was the father of my maternal grandfather, John (48083050). Hello cousin :-)

Just noticed that you maintain two Cathcart memorials, one being my gg-grandfather. Was wondering if you have a Cathcart line?

I wanted you to know that the family you have listed with this John W Anderson belongs to another John W Anderson who also died CSA but is not buried at Stonewall.
I would appreciate your removing his wife and family from this memorial. As for as I know the other man was not married and was a son of George Anderson of Waterloo, SC

I am the 4G Grandson of William Mack Cole and just purchased a headstone for his grave at Oakwood Cemetery. I am already sponsoring his memorial page and would be happy to take over management of his memorial page, if you like.

Sorry , I just realized Charlotte Brigman should be listed with her maiden name as well which is Hinson.
Again I can provide documentation should you need it.
I have sent a correction email to John Evans for the same graves listed on the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church findagrave site as well.

Thank you for your reply. William's parents and spouse are correct.
If you can provide me with a link where I can send you an attachment, I will be glad to send you Julia's death certificate to perhaps add as an image to your page. Perhaps that would be a simple way to "creatively amend information" without actually changing current written info. Since he is also listed as a sibling to himself ?? perhaps most researchers will go with the official document not the written note.
His sister Julia Brigman was born 25 Oct 1849 and died 19 Dec 1917 in Wolf Pit Township,Richmond Co., NC. Her place of burial is Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Richmond Co., NC, near her parents.
I notice the same error has been picked up and added to that website. I will attempt to contact that site overseer, John Evans, as well.

|Elaine Jones||Re: Memorial of William Brigman|
I am sending this to correct family information on the posting for Pvt. William Brigman.
The list of siblings in incorrect for
William Brigman. He did have a sister Julia Brigman; however, she never married.
There is another Julia Brigman of that same community in a similar time frame. It is possible the information listed here is actually for her. I am not sure.
I do have a copy of Julia's death certificate (William's sister)which lists her as single and would be glad to share if you need that to verify information and make corrections.
I also tried to click on Jerry Wilson the initial contributor and sadly it says he has passed away.
I do have additional documented information on Pvt. William Brigman if you would like to add it to your memorial posting. William's brother Henry was my gr-gr-grandfather.

Thank you for the offer, but at this time I am not able. Just for your info Grandpa Andrew had brothers John William Augley and George H. Augley who served, and are at Great Salkehatchie Cem. Another brother Josiah Joseph Augley was MIA and the youngest Jacob B. (Jake) Augley did not serve to my knowledge, but he's at Mt. Arnon. Thank you again for your work in putting up and maintaining these memorials. Jocelyn

|Tom Stephenson||Abraham Hardin|
I read your memorial to Abraham Hardin who lived in York County,SC. I am trying to find some information on a Joseph Hardin who was a witness to the will of my John Stephenson on Bullock Creek in York Co,SC in 1773.
I think this Joseph Hardin was Colonel Joseph Hardin,but I can't be sure. A Joseph Hardin was granted land on King's Creek on the Catawba,River in 1772. This land had first belonged to a John Kuyendall in 1753. From what I have seen on the web,Joseph Hardin had a Rebecca Hardin who married into the Kuykendall family.
Colonel Joseph Hardin was appointed a justice of the peace in Salisbury,in 1772. He might have been on official business when he witnessed by John Stephenson's will in 1773.

Pease check this posting #94603951. I believe Charles is posted with the wrong siblings. Jessie and Joseph's mother was dead before Charles was born. Their father's name was Jacob Anderson Wilson.

Linda, I see you created a memorial for (I think) my ancestor. Lt. James P. Crawford 1836-1862 was my uncle X 3. I created a duplicate because I had more info to add. If you can add his parents links & siblings to the one you have I will delete mine at Oakland Cem, Allanta, Ga. And also add his name if you can please. Thanks a million! Will you let me know? :)
