|Kathy Frusher||Jennie A Firth Nelson-Laverne OK cemetery|
There is a note on this lady's information at find a grave that says-Would like more information on her. I ran across an obituary for this lady. I assume it is from a local newspaper in the Laverne, Oklahoma area. It says she went to school at Lovell country school near her home place west of Laverne. She married her first husband, Willis Johnnie Nelson (1914-1949) and lived west of Laverne until he died in 1949. She then moved into Laverne where she sewed for people and did various jobs to provide for her four children. It also mentions a 5th child that died as an infant (Myrtle Jane Firth). In 1950 she started working at the Laverne school cafeteria where she retired after 32 years of service. Her second marriage was to Olis Edward Nelson, July 22, 1982. He died 1991.

You're welcome. I'm sorry the picture couldn't be the complete headstone at once, I took several complete pictures but they were hard to read because of the sunshine.

Elmire Gagne was my great great grandmother on my mothers side. Her daughter was Dora Maria Katzenstein, my great grandmother and my grandmother was Elmire Tabacchi. I don't know if that makes me a distant relation or not but I am a blood relation of Elmire's and no I do not know Gary McDonald. Are you going to put the obituary's for Marie Garnier and Homer on Find A Grave that I sent you?

I claimed your photo request for Ramon Quesada (Jr.) and as you said, he is buried with his twin brother, Fermin. However, the marker is a military one for Fermin ONLY - I confirmed with the cemetery office that no marker has been placed for Ramon. I also found their parents, Tony and Ramon Quesada Sr. in the Mausoleum at All Soul's.

Yes, Sabrina that is my Hester Devore Mathews...
This is the Hester Devore that has no home yet.
I thought she was somehow connected to a David Devore as Isaac Mathews and David Devore were next to each other in the 1847 Iowa state census. Isaac and Hester were married in Van Buren county Iowa in 1845. Could not identify her family.
thanks for the replay

I am looking for a home for my GGGrandmother, Hester(Hatti) Devore. Born 1824-1827 in Ohio. Father born in Pennsylvania. I think might be a close match to this family. See(1847 Iowa Census). Isaac Mathews and below him a David Devore. Hester was married to Isaac Mathews 1845 in Iowa. Benjamin Devore was in Lee County Iowa in 1850. Hester's Children were named similar to Names as Benjamin's children (Willis, David, William,Andrew.)
If the unknown child is a female this could be a possibility. ?
My email is firstname.lastname@example.org if you care to reply..
Ben Jr.'s first marriage was to Fanny Colburn (1800-1831/1840)and they had about 5 children: John C. Devore; Henry; Unknown; William and Willis. Again if I have information wrong please let me know.

I am pretty old school and look for, ideally 3, official or published resources. I will look for Revolutionary War records. I put the dates and credited you for the ancestry find on Amos' site in the notes section. I also put a request for another resource from someone who might know of an official record. Thanks for your work on this person, I enjoy meeting people like you on this site.

I was hoping if there was a death date it might come with an obituary or bible entry or some point of reference. I do not subscribe to ancestry.com so can't follow up with the person who submitted Amos death date. Is there a point of contact so I can find where the information came from?
Thanks for your help.

You recently put in an edit for Amos' death on Jul. 25, 1878 in Osage County, Kansas. Did you find an obit for him? I am particularly interested for others in this family and where I might look for their graves. I would like to credit you and your source on Amos' page.

I have been trying to find the grave of Orva McDonald for you. The online records search the cemetery uses does not have her listed. I have attempted to simply comb the cemetery since it is not that big. However, it seems bigger than I thought and there are many McDonalds. So far not the one I am looking for.
I will continue to look, but I am going to unclaim the request so if anyone else out there is more successful than me, you won't have to wait so long.

I saw your post on his Find A Grave memorial and according to what I've found on ancestry.com his parents were as you listed. He was married to Helen Marie Jenovick whom I've been researching. It appears he died relatively young but I'm not sure of what. One tree had a lot of pictures of "AJ" , Helen Marie and their children - very nice.

Hi Sabrina, this is distant cousin, Valerie from Indiana. I recently started research again and am sad to tell you that the Hastings Cemetery in Woburn Il. is in disrepair. All access has been plowed and planted and all signage removed. However, I have copied all the wonderful information that you have supplied. I will put on my 'jungle boots' and attempted access again on my next trip thru the area. Thanks, Valerie

I attached to Betty's Memorial the Newspaper Obituary that you shared with me. If you do not want it there, I will remove it. Maybe you don't want all the family's names listed ... OR maybe you would rather add your own BIO for Betty. Please let me know. I am just so happy that you found it!
Thanks for your nice comment about me that I came across on one of the Memorials I transferred to you. How Special.
