Thanks for the additional info on Joe Connaught. Do you mean that he is buried in France or that he was first buried in France? thanks for your help.

Hello, thank you Michael for transferring my dads' memorial to me. Thank you for all you do for us, I think as long as people are remembered they are not gone.
Have a wonderful day.

I was stationed with the Navy at the Northwest facility in 1977-1980. Some of the Petty Officers (1st class and 2nd class) took it upon themselves to renovate that cemetery during that time. It was completely overgrown with brush and most people didn't know it existed, even though it was located just off a large camping area. As I recall, the Petty Officers cleared the brush and erected posts about 20 inches high and strung plastic chain between the posts. They erected the tombstones in the area where they had fallen. I'm glad to see it has been taken care of since those days (about 30 years now).

I noticed your note on the page for Waggoner Carr, that you have some additional photos, but findagrave will not let you post them. Is that because he is listed as a "famous" person on the site? I was wondering if you still have those photos, and if you were willing to share them? He was a 2nd cousin of mine. I only wish to put the photos in my family tree.
Hope to hear from you.

|Luana Dawn Alger||Re; Don Berlin GALFORD (memorial # 37691145)|
Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I have been doing a little research on my husband, Craig Michael GALFORD's, family and made a connection with Don Berlin GALFORD as being my husband's paternal Granduncle. Their parents have a memorial on this site and thought you might want to link him to them: John Brown GALFORD (memorial # 15532819) and Minnie Ellen CASSELL (memorial # 15532956). Bert and his 2 other brothers (Carl John & Raymond GALFORD) are already linking to their parents & felt that Don needs to be placed back with his family where he belongs. If you doubt me, have a look at this...
1930 Census: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XMHY-T71
For the record, there are also 3 sisters: Modie A. GALFORD, Ivy M. GALFORD & Lena Leone GALFORD (GUM/KNECHT), who were all born in the order in which I list them, before any of the sons were born. I suspect that Modie only belongs to John since she was born before John & Minnie married in 1906 and it appears that Minnie was actually married before she married John... I am not complete with my research on that part, though.
My father-in-law (Bert Joseph GALFORD) started a memorial a while back for his father, Bert GALFORD (no middle name), but seriously got the dates all wrong and is too ill now to correct it, so I started one myself with all the verified info included... and I have already linked Bert to his parents.
I know I gave a lot here (but I also left a whole lot out)... Just thought you'd want to know.

You posted a picture of a Navy ship on the memorial of Reginues Watkins. I was wondering where you found the information that he was on that ship and the name of the ship.

I will transfer memorials to you as you request them. My main purpose is to establish as many as I can with correct info found in the "Death Books" and provide pictures. Hopefully family will see them and continue to request transferes.

Sorry it's taken me a while to get to the cemetery--they wisely lock the gates after hours and I haven't been able to get there when they're open.
