Zula Samsel
Mike, Never mind. I'm going to delete my memorial and just add corrections to Lynn's memorial. I apologize. I didn't notice at first that her memorial is older than mine.

Thanks anyway.

Mike, you posted a picture on Zula Samsel's memorial No. 74216398. There is, I believe, a more accurate memorial No. 76234155 that has her headstone. Would you be willing to add her picture to that one, please. She was a beautiful lady.

Thank you.

Hi Mike,

Thank you for posting the picture of Sarah E. Ford's headstone. Are you related to her? She and her husband David are my great great grandparents. I have been trying to trace his Ford family.

Captain Curtis S. Griffin
Captain Curtis S. Griffin was on board of a bomber from the 67th Bomb Squadron, 44th Bomb Group. His plane participated in a bombing raid over Sicily on 14 July 1943. The plane never returned to her base. Captain Griffin is listed on the Walls of Missing of the Sicily Rome Cemetery in Nettuno, Italy.

You posted his picture on findagrave.com. I would like to ask your permission to use that picture for my project about the temporary American GELA Cemetery in Sicily, where over 1,200 men and women were buried between July 1943 and April 1947. If his remains would have been found, he would have been buried at Gela.

I have my project available on a DVD, titled "They stayed behind".

Of course you will be credited

RE: Brooks Grave Pictures
You're very welcome. Did you see Cora Ellen Brooks was added? I assume she was the daughter of Cora and Nathan. If I'm wrong, I'll de-link her to them.

Best regards.

RE: Cora Brooks
Oh good. I had found a family tree that listed him as buried in Old Tacoma. So if you were related, I was going to tell you about that. Glad you are finding out for sure from the cemetery. Get a location if you can as I go there every once in awhile and would be glad to look for marker for them both. There was a big project down last year to photograph markers but they either didn't find any for them, didn't come across the section they are in or they don't have markers.

Thanks for the info.

Finding my birth mother
Washington state finally sent me my original birth certificate of my birth mother and her name was Harriet K. Barraugh who had a brother named William Barraugh. Since I was adopted in Seattle, WA at the Swedish hospital, I was hoping to track down some proof that she was related to the same William Barraugh in this picture. If you know any family heritage, I would appreciate a response.

Lela Pyle
Mike,

Thank you so very much for the picture of Lela. Her immediate family I have never known. Her father was a very interesting man born during the early convoluted years of the Civil War. His father was never known.

Again thank you so much for the photo.

Thank you for posting the school photo of my grandmother. I just had the opportunity to see one of my grandmothers oils photo album and this photo was in it, so the photo was indeed my grandmother. Thank you for researching and adding the photo.

Thank you for leaving the yearbook photo of my grandmother. This is a photo I have never seen. Do you have a copy of the entire page with her name under the photo so I can be sure it is her. It does look like her. Can you please post the page photo to the Memorial, or email it to Nancy Painthorse, she will forward it to me. Thank you, family of Dorothy.
