Grover Warren, Kirkville Cemetery
I am afraid you posted a memorial for a duplicate which was already posted. He was William Grover Warren, married Virda/Virder Ramey, and he was always known as Grover. His son Less Warren married my Aunt Harweda Tynes. The other memorial for William Warren #30631853 was posted 2008. That memorial has a bit of biography, but yours has the photo. It causes confusion for others like me trying to link their children to them. By Findagrave rules, the first memorial takes precedence, and the later memorial (yours) should be deleted. I do wish you could contact the other member and "findaway" to amicably merge the memorials. Barbara Tynes Claiborne

Jim Barlow
Mattie Jane (Honeycutt) Vyers
I saw her as married to Love Vyers, in the Pattison cemetery near Emhouse, TX. Can you provide more info on her? I also can't find any solid documentation on the name of Love Vyer's mother.

My great grandfather (Charlie Barlow) was Love Vyers half-brother. All genealogy research on Charlie hits a wall, largely due to confusion with Charles Pinkney Barlow of Kerens, Tx.

Anyone with info and documentation, please inform me.

RE: Melissa Pierson Warren
I understand, do you know anything about the other siblings are her mother. I know the Ancestry.com info on the marriage record came from my files years ago, when I started my research in the 1980's I spent many days in the Fort Worth Library. In 1955 I lived and married in Abernathy, TX. their was a Pierson family there that was friends with my family, They knew that each had a grandpa named Wayman Pierson from TN but it was when I did my research that I connected the two family's, then in the early 1980's I found the 2nd family, The grand daughter of Emma Pierson came to Denison, TX and meet uncle Ben, my mother and me, her son brought her, it was quite a visit, history was made. Uncle Be Pierson has a grand daughter her name is Liz Reedy. I don't know how Wayman left tw other family's to start a new one. My grandfather did the same with my grad mother Malinda. Thanks Luteen By the way I run the copy of the Warren family off.

Find A Grave Memorial# 105973281
Karen,
I am looking for a descendant of my Great Great Grandfather, Fielding Jones. He was married to July "Lucy" Miller. Luther Freeman Jones was one of his children. In the 1870 US Census, it shows that Luther F. Jones was 7 years old. I do not have any other information on him.

I am searching on 1863 as the year of his birth and found this Memorial. It lists his wife. Do you know anything about him? Or have an Obituary or anything?

If he is my relative, I sure would be thrilled. But? I don't have any information one way or the other.

Please help!!

RE: Simeon Taylor
Karen, I really appreciate the transfer. It means alot to me.

Yes, I have info for Simeon. His parents are Silas Taylor (1811-1887)and Elizabeth Wallis 1807-btw. 1870/80. Silas' mother was Nancy Tucker, daughter of Revolutionary War Soldier George Tucker b. 1745-1852).

Simeon was born per Bible Record that I have Feb. 17, 1842.

It appears through census records Simeon was born in Alabama, migrated to GA,MS,and then to Texas.

1850 Lafayette Co. MS Simeon living with parents
1860 Not found

Simeon married Sarah E. Baisdon-Womack. Sarah had a daughter (my great grandmother) Martha Womack from a previous marriage, and then three more children with Simeon: Eliza Penelopy (also buried in Dresden Cemetery and married James Harrison Hardman); Alma; and John "Cam".

James Harrison - James died and is buried in Collingsworth County, TX. The family did not have the money to bring him back to Navarro County for burial at the time of his death. Therefore, he has two tombstones; one in Collingsworth County and the other in Navarro County. The family never did bring him back to be buried with his wife.

Simeon Taylor Feb 1842 58 GA GA GA 3 children one living, married 12 years
Sarah E. Taylor, Wife Nov 1848 51 MS SC SC

It appears that Simeon was married again after the death of Sarah. According to Bible records, Simeon's first wife Sarah Baisdon died 1886. The 1900 Navarro Census indicates that Simeon has married again to another Sarah and indicates they are married for 12 years (1888).

I hope this helps, and I really appreciate your tranfer of Simeon's memorial.

Queen Isabella Chambers Warren
I saw your post that you descend from Mark Meeks Warren's brother. I was wondering if you know what became of Queen Isabella Chambers Warren, daughter of Mark Meeks Warren. She married Benjamin C Stockton in 1877, and, according to the 1880 census, they had a son, Benjamin, who was 1 year old at that time. Benjamin, the husband, died in 1884, and is buried in the Phillips Cemetery, where the Stockton clan and the Warren clan are buried.

I've not found any record of Queen Isabella Chambers (Warren) Stockton or her son after 1880. The Find-a-grave records for Phillips Cemetery do not include her or the son.

I did find a 1900 census record for Sam Hammond (26), Gwendolen (16), Sam's wife, and a Belle Stockton, widowed mother-in-law to the head of household. They all are living in Cherry Level, Neshoba, Mississippi. Belle is the right age, and Gwendolen would have been an infant when Benjamin C Stockton died, if she is his daughter. These Hammonds are also buried in the Phillips cemetery, but Belle is not. The Phillips Cemetery seems to be a small old one, used mainly by a handful of families. I"ve not found any record of this Belle Stockton after the 1900 census.

I also determined that Queen Isabella's brother, Will Thomas Peden Warren married Benjamin C Stockton's sister, Sarah A Stockton.

So back to the original question…do you know what became of Queen Isabella Chambers Warren after her husband died?

Any information would be appreciated.

Godfrey
Karen-

I believe John Henry and Lellias Mary Godfrey had another infant that died. Yesterday in the Boren Cemetery (Reagor Springs, Ellis County Texas), I found a marker for "Infant Son of JH and LM Godfrey. Born and died June 21, 1896".

Do you believe this may be the case? I will post the images if you want to establish a memorial.

Thanks,
David Teel

Thank you so much for sending me the name information. You are very correct in the fact that it was covered in poison ivy. That is the reason I could not move it off to take a picture with all the name showing. I am HIGHLY allergic to it. I have done lots of small country cemeteries that are not tended and maintained and even overgrown and have never had problems with poison ivy. I have had 2 outbreaks due to Oakwood Cem. one of which was so bad that I had to get medical attention for shots and medication so I am very careful there now. Thank you for taking your time to research and find out her full name.
