My pleasure.. For some spiritual reason, I felt a connection to him. That can happen for reasons I do not know but his grave touched my heart..Thank you for the experience.

Just send me a SAC with DUPE in it, or OOPS, and those get flagged.

Thank you for adding Anna's parents. No, I'm not family, but I do like to keep my memorials connected as best I can. I think if I can help even one person find something, it's a little victory :)

Do you know how to contact Julio Espinoza's family? I have a relative who was his commanding officer when he died and was with him. He is still alive and would like to speak to Julio's family if possible. Thanks.

|Alma Roots||John Stephen Way|
Brianne: I have just resumed my genealogy research after 20 years of no searching. Now that we have the internet so many records are now on line. My direct ancestor is Benjamin Way, John Stephen's younger brother. I have a picture of him and he and his brother look very much alike. I also have a certified copy of their father's death certificate and their parents marriage certificate. I would love to exchange information with you. You can contact me directly at email@example.com. My name is Alma Roots.

May i also ask, in addition, permission to download other Watts & Choate family members' images and gravestone photos? I didn't realize you had so much on my families!!
And thank you for sharing this family information!

Hello! May I have your permission to download the photos of Alice M (Watts) Choate? I would like to upload them into my Ancestry family tree. This is the first photo I've seen of Alice!
Thank you for your consideration.

|Ivy Lawn Memorial Park||Re: Robert E. Colby Photo Request|
I have the photo the grave marker for Robert E. Colby. Can you unclaim the request so that I may submit the photo? The marker is legible and in great condition it does however need the concrete replaced, so I will follow up w/ the family for the repair. In the future if you have trouble locating one of the graves please feel free to come into the office and we can assist you with the locating the grave.

|Anne||Respect or Ivy League rules|
Even though others have gotten away with 'getting' photos from this cemetery and others have denied any 'trouble' I have personally spoken management of this cemetery and they have asked as a group we are NOT auhtorized to take any type of photos. The cemetery is a private one and not subject to the rules of a public cemetery here in California. I have family buried there and even I ask to have them take photos. No, I do not like it, but it is out of respect for their rules.
It is stated very clearly on the Ivy Lawn page on find a grave that one can contact
the office and at no charge they will happily send you a snapshot of the grave in question.
I plead with you to do this because of respecting the rules of those who make them. If others break these rules and are able to 'get' a photo then it makes it subsequently harder for those of us who have to get these people who cooperative at the local level with us.
I have been one one who has vehemently protested those sneaking on the grounds and 'taking' a photo.You might have caught a few 'nasty' emails. Believe there is no rationally on this person's subject. Getting away something does not make it right. This is a courtesy, not a right, these institutions have extended to us.
I have been to many, many graveyards and always ask permission. It is, after all, private land.
So if you want a photo, I urge use you to call the office and use their system do not use a volunteer. Just because one is not caught does not make it ethical nor right.

Brianne - Could you please unclaim the photo request for Pearl Knox? Someone else apparently has found the headstone but will not post the photo unless they get the credit for it.

Thank you for taking and posting the photo of Oliver Willoughby's headstone. Did you have any difficulties at Ivy Lawn? I have three other photos that were taken there in the last few weeks, and none of those volunteers had problems there.

I in no way meant to involve you or anyone, including the one who made my name and number public about anything except the policy of Ivy Lawn Cemetery. No offense at what you do except this person, while appearing civil to you, was very rude and condescending when I pointed out what and is this cemetery's policy about photographing gravestones. My public apologies for anything that may be disrepectful to you.

Brianne - I see that you claimed my photo requests for my grandparent's graves at Ivy Lawn Cemetery. I have been repeatedly contacted by another Findagrave volunteer (Diane, #47036858)who has taken great offense at my posting these requests. I have contacted Ivy Lawn personally and was told that anyone can come to the cemetery and take photos - they only ask that funeral services are not intruded upon and that multiple maps are not requested. If you find difficulties with fulfilling the request, please let me know. Thank you for your time.
