Contact needed for Connie
I notice you are listed as a friend of Connie #47390019. I would like to contact her, but her messages are not open. She sent me the names of my ex father-in-law's parents in Austria that I didn't know about and would like to find out how and where she got the info on them. If you could pass on this message and ask her to contact me at smilydyno@suddenlink.net I would be most thankful.

Lilburn Tadlock
I completed your photo request for Lilburn Tadlock. She is with her husband Norman Tadlock. There was no memorial for Norman so I created one and transferred it to you.

Really would like to hear from you
Hi Geraldine,

I am in search of more information and connections for my family tree project. I saw your profile on Connie's profile but i cannot message her. this is on the find a grave site. She has Charles R smith and you have Clyde Paul Smith. I believe this is the Charles that is my grandmas brother and Clyde is one of his sons. i have names but dates are difficult to match unless i can get there spouse. i have newspaper clippings for Charles parents only. I was wondering if we can connect and maybe share information we might not have for each other.

My grandmothers name is Olive Marie Robinson Petersen married to Carl A Petersen, which he just turned 97 and still lives at there house in Sebastopol. i just came back from a visit. I am a member of My heritage and working on my grandma's side which is difficult cause Smith and Robinson names are to common. Hope to her from you.

Please let me know.

Gerry, I've looked for this little grave and can find nothing. I know the dates don't add up, but did Genevieve die in childbirth? If she did, it's possible Sandra was buried with her mother. It is also possible she was buried near the family home. That seems to be very common in our county history. SOrry I can't offer you better news. Valarie

Gillula/Gilula/Gillulah /Gilhula/Gilhuly/Gilhuley
Gillhuly/Gillhuley/Gilhooly/Gilhooley/Gillhooley families 2 me.

Many of my family that was forced out of Ireland and emigrated were separated and had changed to the spellings of their names. some were British Gun Runners, some were trying to make it out alive from the Potato Blight and keep their families alive.

Maria Claire Serao and J Manning Johnson
Thanks so much for the info on these two! J Manning was the son of my great grandfather's sister Matilda and it was so nice to find J Manning especially even though I didn't know them it's nice to have some closure on this branch of the family as I'd searched for quite a long time to find out what happened to Manning. Happy New Year!

Request for permission to use photos
Hello again...

I'm using Ancestry.com and Family Tree Maker to work on my genealogy and would like your permission to use your photos found on findagrave.com:

For example, a photo on this memorial is one I'd like to use: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=13531618

I expect there will be others that I find later. I will give you (via your FindAGrave username) and FindAGrave credit.

RE: John Patterson Memorial# 46199805
Gerry, I found a family tree on Ancestry (Solum Family Tree) that lists John Henry Patterson, born 30 Dec 1855 in Boone Co.,Mo. and died 18 Sept 1937 in San Antonio Texas. He married Bessie Jordan. If you don't have an Ancesry account, you can get a free 7 day access I think they still offer that. His father, Jefferson Davis Patterson.

RE: John Patterson Memorial# 46199805
Gerry, unfortunately the book does not list Greenup Patterson's children, other than Jefferson, and does not mention a brother that came to Stonewall County, either. It says that Greeup had 11 children, and brought them to Hays County from Joplin, Missouri in 1871. Perhaps the son John might not have survived to adulthood.
Jefferson D. Patterson was the fourth son., and as you probably know, had only two children, Jeff Jr (married Vada Rash) and Annie who died unmarried I think.
Jeff Davis Patterson SR. married Mittie Lee Ward.
I am sorry that I couldn't help more.

RE: John Patterson Memorial# 46199805
Gerry, I will have to go look at my book and see what I can find for you. The book is "Stonewall County, Beyond the Forks of the Brazos" and was published by the Stonewall Hist. Commission I think in 1979.
I think it is out of print now, but I will see if I can find an address for it, if it turns out to be your Pattersons. I think there was a section in biographies for them.

Thanks, Gerry, for establishing a memorial to my cousin and then transferring it to me. I had lost touch with this branch of my family many years ago. Thanks, also, for all the time and effort you put in to helping make Find A Grave so successful.

RE: Sandra Humes @ Hilltop
You are welcome. I'll keep looking for her. A fellow grave hunter and I will be working in Hilltop for a while and may run across something--you never know. I understand that the town may also be working on getting a more accurate record of Hilltop's burials. I will certainly let you know if we discover anything.

Hi. The only headstone I was able to find was the mother's. I dug around a bit nearby her headstone to see if one was buried under all the pine needles, but there wasn't anything for Sandra. Sorry.

I also tried to find Baby Flaugh's grave. Are you also attached to this grave? I found markers by Tom and Mabel Flaugh and also one by Simon and Ida Flaugh. Do you know the parents of Baby Flaugh?

Let me know and I can send you the photos.
Thanks,
Carol

RE: Sandra Humes @ Hilltop
Just wanted to update you on my search for Sandra Humes. We think we know where Genevieve is buried but were unable to find the block. Many of the block number markers are missing. So we made our own map and will be going back to the cemetery as soon as time allows to look again for both Genevieve and Sandra. I'll get back to you soon--hopefully with photos.
