I added the info you sent for her. I wouldn't have minded you editing the photo, but I went ahead and did it. I went through a period where the photo was correct on my screen but uploaded that way. I caught most if them but thanks for pointing that out. If I can help with any of the line you are trying to put together, let me know.

RE: The Snell-Chrisenberry (aka Harry Slagle)
Hey, thanks for thinking of me out here - I have many of those death cert records - This whole "Slagle" thing gets quite confusing - I believe that the "Denton" Slagles/Leaches are at the Jesse Slagle burial ground at Spice Hollow. Margaret Onks (Oaks) was the wife of Jesse and is up there, too.. I think that James E Leach is up there, as well. I hope you have better luck than I with them. I forget whether I asked you before - do you work with any of our survey team or the Heritage Alliance or are you mainly working on your own? We're putting a push on trying to finish the list of about 500 burial grounds here in the county - I have put about 5000 miles on my vehicle this fall just chasing graves - labor of love, for sure. I trust that you are familiar with our database? Is there anything that I can help you with? Gordon

Thank you for the 1920 obituary. It's added to Neil's Memorial #36286230 and DOD amended from Feb 10 to Feb 9, as shown in obit. DC has 10th but that looks like an error when other dates/time on form are examined. Happy New Year! JT

RE: Sinking Creek Cemetery
Thanks for the help - I will delete the message, too. If I can help you with anything in Washington County, please feel free to holler. Are you working with TNGENWEB? We've been putting up many burial grounds on there. There used to be a girl named Beth over in Unicoi doing some work over there, but I believe she's moved. Gordon

Hi, fellow researcher & surveyor - The Snell-Chrisenberry (aka Harry Slagle) and apparently Sinking Creek in Washington County. I have not ever heard it referred to as Sinking Creek, per se - not sure of your source data for the memorials created - there's a Snell-Chrisenberry burial ground already in F-A-G, but no memorials loaded except 1. Could you add Snell-Chrisenberry into the title of your Sinking Creek entry - it might end a little confusion about the other Sinking Creek towards Elizabethton. PM me, it may be easier to share resources that way. I am a member of the Washington County survey team and always look forward to working with others. I see from your bio that you're knee-deep in Unicoi - I have done several over there, too. Evergreen is a great project, it's huge. I just finished West Lawn and it took a year. Hope to hear from you. Gordon M. Edwards

Amanda - DNA says we're related way back in PA to Johann Pieter Stroup. Jacob's father. Would like your help on finding Andy Stroupes' grave in Evergreen Cemetery as well as his Mother's (Jane or Jennie). I suspect he's buried with Nora, since I think he was the plot owner. My e-mail is

Thank you for the obituary. You do not have to remove it. I am not related to Mr. Garber. Others may find it quite helpful in their searches.
