Hi,
I had a lot of problems getting information on Martin Francis Troy, since his plane was shot down over Hungary in WWII, and he perished. His remains were only discovered in 2007, and to date, I don't think the few people left in his immediate family have decided where they want them buried.
I would like to have seen him buried with his wife, Grace Merrill Sugden, who is buried alone, although she married twice after Martin's death. However, I believe others want him in Arlington National Cemetery.
Since he married into the Sugden family, I don't know much other than he married Grace on May 11, 1940 at Norwalk, Fairfield, Connecticut. He died June 30, 1944.
From the marriage certificate, I learned his father was John Lawrence Troy, and his mother was Myra Meider. John was from Connecticut, and Myra from New York.
I have several photos of Martin Troy which were sent to me by a cousin in Connecticut, and if you would like copies, please contact me and I'll email them to you. From what I understand, Marty's sister, who is now quite elderly, didn't want to speak to anyone regarding the recovery of her brother's remains.
I hope this sketchy information helps you to connect Marty to your family.

I was in Pittsburgh a few weeks ago. Inbetween conferences I walked over to the cemetery and wrote down some names and took some photos. That's how I got to the Allott's. No family relation at all.
