You really are still believing your #58425084 is still the correct person? Ours is in the cemetery book for West Union with husband Alfred her parents also. Checking Ancestry our dates check out with the book as dying 1/13/1983. There is no mention of the people you find on the marker. Please check on your end. Not even the Grandmothers check out. |Mike Cronk||Rozine Bezonson Clear - Woodlawn Cemetery, Vermontville, Eaton Co., Michigan|
I noticed your notes regarding the burials of Emanuel & Rozine (Bezonson) Clear at Greenland Cemetery in Elysian, Le Sueur Co., MN.
Well, I can't speak for Emanuel, but Rozine is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Vermontville, Eaton Co., MI. The Woodlawn Cemetery Registry has her entered as "Rozine Clears".
Her daughter, Sophia Jane Clear, was the final wife of my 2x-gr-uncle, Royal Willard Cronk, and Sophia is also buried at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Rozine was living in Grand Rapids, Kent Co., Michigan, in 1928. She was living with Royal & Sophia in Vermontville during the 1930 U.S. Census.
I have created a 'Find A Grave' memorial for Rozine (Behnson) Clear in Woodlawn Cemetery [the maiden name as given in the transcript of her Michigan Death Record].
Emanual is NOT shown as being buried there.
I thought, perhaps, you might be interested in this information.

Thank you Barbra, I just figured out what I thought was FOOT is FØDT (Norwegian for born)24 Jul 1845. And then DØDE (Died) Nov 24 1913.
Is Riceland Cemetery the same as St Paul Cemetery or is it across the street with the Seventh Day Adventist?
After a few trips to cemeteries I brought a probe to help find buried headstones and tools to trim back grass and weeds. It is amazing, even in a well maintained cemetery, how easy it is for stones to disappear.

Your photos are wonderful. Ole's is very weathered but I can read the name. Did you do a rubbing of the whole stone? I can see there are dates on the bottom but there appears to be something else under the name. It looks like FOOT 24, which makes no sense. Could you let me know what is written on the stone?
Is there any chance of getting a picture of the stones under the bush or see the names on the stones?
Thank you again

|Sherry Bradley||RE: Mary Parthena Tillotson Matteson|
Thanks very much for the information. I wish I wasn't so far away from Iowa, so I could further research my Winnebago heritage. Members of my clan (Chief Yellow Thunder) were taken to Iowa. YT returned to Wisconsin and asked if he could buy some land to farm. The government so no problem with that, so he did buy a parcel near Baraboo, WI. He farmed the land and was buried there with his last wife at the age of 100. Some vandalism of their burials prompted a local historical group to move their remains to a little park named Yellow Thunder's as a tribute.
I'll do what I can to research on the web about the family's brief Iowa connections.

|Sherry Bradley||Mary Parthena Tillotson Matteson|
I made the changes you suggested to her memorial, and I took the chance that Albert H. Matteson (1838-1915) is her husband.
If any corrections are needed, don't hesitate to let me know. I would like to offer you the maintenance responsibility for Albert and Mary and the other Matteson family members at Union. Let me know on that.
I'm curious about Decorah, Iowa. Can you tell me if any descendents of the Winnebago tribe in Wisconsin are there? Is there a museum in Decorah about the Winnebago Agency that was established there many moons ago?

|Marcia Jensen||RE: Katherine Mautner DeGree|
I have one that might be her, but it is based on a hunch on my part, not necessarily reality. I have some photos to go through and if I find a for sure one, I'll send it.
Do you have a gmail account I can send the gravestone photo to? I don't know how to do so on this one.

|Jen Starks||Linus Bulmer|
My name is Jennifer and I am originally from Canton, MN. Linus Bulmer was my great great aunt Stella (estella) miller's first husband. I was wondering if there was an record of her being buried there next to him. Do you know anything about the Bulmer family. She just seems to have disappeared after she married her 3rd husband. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your efforts. If you found Sec. 2, Lot 91 and the stones are not there, then they're not there anymore. I didn't have a camera with me 22 yrs ago when I was there, darn, but I did transcribe the stones. Perhaps they are buried now. Again, thank you for trying, I do appreciate it! ~Chris
