Good new about Webb Cemetery
A Boy Scout Troop has cleaned up the Webb Cemetery on Maple Road near Goshen NY, and you can now get to all of the tombstones easily without fighting through a jungle of vines and bushes. I have taken photos that I hope are easier to read than those previously taken under very difficult conditions. Take a look at If you want me to remove my new photo, just contact me. Not a problem. Thank you
Thank you for visiting Austin's memorial. I appreciate it very much. He died this past Wednesday evening very unexpectedly. He was only 20 years old & was my daughter's boyfriend of 3 years. They were planning on getting married soon & she is very heartbroken. He died in her arms. Tomorrow is his wake & funeral & it's going to be very rough going to those. We are all very sad & we miss him. Thanks again for taking the time to visit his memorial. It means a lot. Bless you, Angelina.

Hello Angelina,

I was very excited to see that you had left a picture for me, but puzzled as I am unfamiliar
with Uzal Smith. I am very interested in the Wallkill cemetery at Phillipsburg as I believe that the relatives of General John Aaron Rawlins, chief assistant to General and President U.S. Grant are buried there. They would include Emily Smith Rawlins, his first wife died in 1861, John Bradner Rawlins, his son died 1-19-1917 and Emily Smith Rawlins Wait, his daughter who died in March of 1897 and was buried from Goshen, New York. The name of his first wife's parents were Hiram Smith who died 10-10-1866 and Sarah Jane Bull who died 11-26-1885. They also had a daughter Sarah J. Smith who died later, same name.

A few months ago, I had little knowledge of the Civil War or U.S. Grant, much less General Rawlins.

However, I now have every reason to believe that
I was Emily Wait born in Galena, Illinois, so I
am looking for pictures of my own grave if there is a marker from my previous lifetime. There may no markers, so one might have to look in the old cemetery records. I wonder if you can send me an E-mail at regarding your findings. I have some hopes of visiting the area this year, but being 70 years of age and apprehensive about the trip, I may not be able to search myself in the cemetery and the old records. I can not thank you enough for taking some interest in my research.
