RE: Henry Juan Trotter
I had to do a lot of sweeping with a natural bristle broom to uncover the death date. It was covered by 8 inches of dirt. I don't know how deep the bottom of the stone is, but it must be several feet--a job for a professional.

I replaced the first pic and added 2 more. You'll need to go to the photos tab to see the third pic.

Would you like for me to transfer management of this memorial to you? I am not related to him. I'd rather he be with family.

Yes, you have my permission to use the photo--no credit necessary.

I'll probably go out today, so I'll what I can see. Maybe I can get a better picture.

From what I've been told, cemetery management does nothing to preserve headstones unless a relative asks for it. I don't know what the cost might be.

Here is the number for the office: (615) 255-4193.

Mount Olivet is a wonderful, historic cemetery. It sits up on a high hill, from which you can see the Nashville skyline. If you enjoy Civil War history, you might enjoy seeing Confederate Circle, where 7 Confederate generals and 1,500 other Confederate soldiers are buried.

Even if you're not into Civil War history, I'm sure that you'd enjoy visiting Mount Olivet.

I thought that you might want to know that I've located and photographed Henry Juan Trotter's headstone. It is sunken halfway under the ground. Here is his memorial number: 44321613.

RE: Currey
Not a problem. The burial site is located very near one of the entrances. I have added the GPS coordinates in case any one wants to find the location in the future.

Sparkman HIllcrest (SH) will not provide burial locations to volunteers, citing privacy issues. Your cooperation is needed to in order for requests to be filled. The volunteers will need you to call SH and request the location. Their phone number is 214-363-5401. Once you have the location, please add it to your request.

You can also go through the SH website at this address: http://www.dignitymemorial.com/en-us/about-us/contact-us.page

Click the third tab that says "Other Requests." Fill in the blanks. Where it says: " What is your request in regard to?" use the drop down menu and select "other." In the message put the name and birth and death dates of the person you are looking for and that they are buried at Sparkman Hillcrest in Dallas, Texas. Once SH has replied, add the information to your photo request.

Thank you for your help.

Hello,
I would be happy to fulfill your photo request - would you call the cemetery to get the burial location?
There are over 11,000 graves there and without a location, it is difficult to find your request.
The phone number is 509-926-2753 - and there is no charge to obtain the location contrary to the description on
FindaGrave.
I fulfill requests regularly there and will get you the photo if you can supply the grave location to me. Please email info
to id.morbius@gmail.com.

Thank you

RE: Thomas Drennon @ Topeka Cemetery
The Drennon family marker is in Section 88 lot 15...there are several Drennons buried there but there is no marker for an Thomas.

The photo I posted shows the family marker and 4 other flat markers...they are for LaVerne, William SR, Lula and Delbert. You can see there is empty space for markers for the others but the markers were never obtained or put in place.

If you don't want the 'empty space' photo on Thomas's memorial page just let me know and I will remove it.

It's okay - I'm not related.

I just wanted to find her name to rid her from the Mrs. name. Glad someone came along after a few yrs.
