According to the most reecent updates to the FAQ we are no longer supposed to add obits to memorials--unless you have permission from the newspaper publisher or it's before 1922. If you send a rewritten summary of the information, I'd be happy to add that. You can put in a reference to the obit (i.e. name of newspaper and date).

The correct date is what is on the stone. The incorrect date was due to my typing error. Thank you for catching it.

You most certainly can use that picture for your ancestry work. Just a bit of a mention that I took the picture would be appreciated. That's actually one of my favorite pictures. (As soon as you mentioned the name I recalled the stone.) Sometimes you don't realize how blue the sky is until you go home and see it in the pictures. I was really pleased. Yes. That's a Woodsmen Of The World marker. Always so neat to see. It would be interesting to find out more on who designed those. I've seen some pretty intricate one's on line.
Thankyou for asking permission to use my pic...

|cmvan||Alice May Davis on FAG|
Having found this listing on Ancestry, I'm trying to determine if this is the Alice May Davis who was my husband's great-grandmother. Her maiden name was Moon, and her husband's name was Reginald Edmund Davis.
Do you know of any way to find out if this is the same person who's buried in Phillips? Thanks!

|Kari Olson||Merry Christmas|
Hi, and Merry Christmas.. Lois, I added the headstone for Glenn and Dorothy Ramsey. I found it under the snow! I probably did photograph it , dont see how i could have missed it. Anyway didnt post it for some reason and then i coudlnt find a copy so went there and scraped off the snow. I knew exactly where , just to the right of the big stone.

Hey Lois, this is good. Someone named Lisa has a memorial for John Ramsay, son of the Illinois Ramsays and father of the James F Ramsey here. and I had made a memorial for John Ramsey as that is how he spells it. So i am linking to her memorial, and deleting mine.

OK more confusion. This is James F Ramsay... the photo is of James F Ramsey with an e.
And this James F Ramsey with the E is buried in New Lisbon. So I am removing the photos from the Illinois Ramsays. I still think they are related though, Ellen HInton and John Ramsay are offspring of the Ramsay family.
Are the Ramseys related?

|HJ||RE: Memorial 84898258 Charles Guy Smith|
I do not think that I made that link. It was probably made by the Find A Grave member who entered that memorial. If you look at the photo on Leroy's memorial, the one of the granite marker, not the military marker, Charle's name is inscribed at the bottom, along with two other names. Sorry I cannot be of more help. If the link is incorrect, please do let me know and I will remove it. Thank you!

|WJH||Egyabroads how are you related?|
Sophronia Eygabroad was my Grandmother's sister she loved to entertain kids my mother and her siblings have many fun stories. One of my favorites is a child bit her and she took out her false teeth and bit him back...needless to say that child never bit anyone again. One of my kindergarten students was a biter...I have an upper plate so tried it...and it worked no more biting. Will always remember the astonished look on his face. At the end of the year this little boy's work started getting bad and he said "see I must be your student again next year" .

In Nola Cemetery, you created a memorial for Sharon Wollerman - born & died in 1950.
Is there a gravestone for Tammy Lee Wollerman, also born & died in 1950 in Nola Cemetery?

|Jack Cady||Haziel Cady death year|
I am quite certain that it was 1891.
I know that he outlived Lucetta and I have both obituaries from the local papers, and I have a copy of the death registration for both that came from the official records in Fergus Falls, MN.
All I actually got was the transcribed record of the deaths and not a copy of the actual document. I would really treasure a copy of the original, even if there was no new information added to my knowlege base.
When the inscription was found on the back of his daughter's tombstone, I finally understood why it took so long to get it through find-a-grave.
