Maureen, I did like the blog, its a very sweet story. That last question I ask myself just about every day! I could find out in a few clicks what it would take my dear old mama months or years to find out.

Hi Maureen,
I enjoyed reading your Find A Grave profile, we have so much in common. One of the great joys in life is when people ask me to transfer a memorial for their loved one. Makes all the hard work of walking cemeteries worthwhile!
Kind regards.

New System for Memorial Edits
Hi Ms. Keillor:

******Please Note******
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013

Go to your Contributor/Profile page.
Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you. Then just review and accept. EZ-PZ :-)

This new process makes it much easier for doing updates to names / dates / places / plot #s.

Please note - you still will get e-mails to add info to bio section or do linking to family members.

Thank you for your contributions to FindAGrave!

Many thanks for getting the headstone pic of Bessie Mae (Humphrey) Million onto Find A Grave. I love to see them and they really help when verifyong family info (sometimes Ha!)

I wonder of you'd allow me to use the pic in the family research, with credit, of course?

I meant to say that she was the grandmother of Harriet Hebner, sorry, these things do get confusing!

I guess we're all related :)
Harriet Philp is the mother of Harriet Matilda Hebner who was married to my 1st great grand uncle, Alvin Harold Shobert.

You are welcome, I had been there years ago with only a film camera so got very few photos then.
I went back in Sep 2013 and had to use Google Earth photos to even find the cemetery again, it is in such a secluded and peaceful place far off the main road. When I was walking around the cemetery taking photos of family graves, I realized it was deer hunting season when I heard gunshots whizzing by me. I got a few more photos and then went running for the car. It was important for me to revisit because my 2nd Great Grandfather and other family is there.

Problem is those good Germans left a mess in the cemetery records. Spent the past 6 months getting through Blocks 1, 2 and 3. So bad, that even the Wimberg Funeral Home in town can't tell how many Wimbergs are named George!! Hopefully I will get through all the corrections needed in the old part by next Christmas.

Hi Maureen,

I am wondering if you know any more about this individual? I found her record of death, and it does appear she had the name of Difloe at the time of death. See https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/KFHK-7DN.

RE: George Edgar Flumerfelt
Fine with me. Let someone choose which date to believe. I tend to believe the death certificate over a tombstone because the problem with a tombstone is that it is engraved so much later than when death occurs so there can be an error in the information provided to the engraver either by family or the undertaker's office who orders the stone to be created. If all I have is the tombstone, then I have to go by that, but since this isn't the case here, the death certificate should have priority. But that's my way of thinking in any case.
