Nancy Heib
Jesse Ketchum
Hi Jim, Perhaps you can figure out something for me. The genealogical books on the Ketchum family list the birth for Jesse Ketchum as 1765 in Amenia, Dutchess County New York, and his death as May 15, 1846, in Chateaugay, Franklin County New York, and that he was buried in the "Old Cemetery" in Chateaugay. Were their two men named Jesse Ketchum in Chateaugay, Franklin County New York?
Was the East Side Cemetery also known as the "Old cemetery"? Thanks, Nancy

Pecks in Earlville
A correction to earlier question: We located Clara Jersak Peck (1882-1973) and posted her photo.
Esther Hazelton Peck (1918-2009) has two Memorial Pages. I posted her photo on the most complete page..i.e., bio information.

Jim, we located and photographed five (5) Pecks that are buried in Earlville Cemetery. They are not on the interment list for that cemetery. Names: Emily Peck (1841-1911), Lester Peck (1906?), Thomas Peck (1935?), Clara Peck Jersak (1882-1973) and Esther Jean Peck (1948-1952) [dau. of Francis/Esther Hazelton Peck: on the same stone]

Isiah Gilman Sweet #73733063
Hi Jim
Isiah's death date is actually 8-18-1888 instead of 8-13-1888. His birthdate is 8-3-1807 which his age would then be 81 yrs. 15 days as indicated on his stone.
Could you please make the change on his memorial.
Thank you,
Beverly (BLV)

The Parks family is not my family. I make it a rule never to change the data on my memorials without documentation. I have transferred John Parks & wife to you. Take good care of them.

Find A Grave has a new edit system. I will be glad to add additional information. You just have to click on the specific Find A Grave memorial edit tab, input the additional information, and I will just have to click my mouse to accept it. It's a great timesaver. Thanks

One more thing, should you ever get back to Thayer's Corner cemetery would you look for Betsy for me. I was told that she too is buried there and should be near Amasa, though I don't have a death date for her. Thanks!

Would you be willing to transfer him to me, as a direct descendent, so I can add info about his wife Betsey and children? Thanks for your consideration, Lisa

I've added the photo I have of his headstone.

Amasa Chamberlain
Hello, I am inquiring about your memorial for Amasa here:

I am wondering where you aquired the information? My 3x great grandfather Amasa Chamberlin (no a at the end)was born 14 Apr 1775 in Strafford, Orange, Vermont to Amasa and Molly Brisco -- I have a transcribed copy of his birth rec, and married there to Betsey Libbie Dec 1794 (actually may have been Burke, Franklin, NY)

I do have Amasa 75 with Harriet 49, Alanson 7 and Joes 18 in Burke, NY per 1850 census, but always thought Harriett was a niece or a nickname for one of his daughters... Alma was born 1801 and Hannah 1810. Of course he may have remarried after the death of Betsey, but this still would have made him abt 68 when Alanson was born, not unheard of of course.

If you are related I could give you info on his 12 children with Betsey. I also have a photo of his headstone, but wanted to touch base with you before I added it.
