Looking for James Milton Rogers, Dade Co, Payne Cemetery
Hi James:
I am looking for info on the death date of a distant relative, James Milton Rogers of Dade Co Trenton, GA. I know his wife Betty Cureton Rogers is buried in Payne Cemetery in Trenton, but I can find no record of James Milton Rogers (her husband). I was told by people he used to work with in Chattanooga that he is buried by her in Payne Cemetery. Can you verify this, and if so can you furnish me a photo of his grave marker, and/or his actual death date. I thank you in advance. Paul D, Atlanta, GA

James, I added a flower to Ms. Cora's memorial with her obituary info ...if you would like to up-date it. If you are not a relative I would be honored to have this memorial in my keeping until one of the family members ask for it! I met her at the Bridge in South Pittsburg and she is such a sweet person. J C Thompson
Transfers Asbury Cemetery Texas
Thank you James for the transfers. I hope I did not overwhelm you with transfer requests. I descend from the Thompson, Green and Henson families at Asbury, plus all the inter-married lines, so I do have a lot of family there. I am currently working on a genealogical project that was scheduled to be completed by 2002, but due to the death of one of my cousins in August 2000 and my injury in September 2000, all was put on hold. Only recently, have I been in a position to start it up again, with the help of other family. This is what led me to Findagrave.com and via that to you.

Thank you for the great work you did in creating these memorials for my family.

Respectfully
J.C. Thompson

RE: Beaty Family
James, thanks for the reply. I understand that you know some of the background of how the duplicates were created, and that you are aware of which are the correct memorials and which are in the wrong cemetery. I would like to get some of that information from you in the hopes of bringing the issue up and coming to a resolution. Thank you for any help, and please email me personally at robtdaniels@comcast.net if you are more comfortable. My goal is to leave as correct a record as possible for our posterity, and clearly the same headstone cannot be in two different cemeteries. I will also be glad to call and talk on the phone if you would be willing. Thanks for your help, and for all you do for Find A Grave.

Beaty Family
Hi James, Thank you for the work you do for Find A Grave to document and make available information on our ancestors. You efforts are much appreciated. I am working on the Beaty family, and I find duplicates in the two different Lee Cemeteries in Bradley County. I would like to discuss this with you and get your perspective on the issue. Please email me at robtdaniels@comcast.net. I want to pursue this issue and see if we can get the duplicates eliminated so as to leave a correct record, but I need to make sure I have all my facts straight, and I think you could be a big help.

Thanks for all you do, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Attaway
I do have more information from Mattie Attaway Hakes. She is the daughter of Jeffie Attaway by Nancy Davis.

I have two marriage certificates and a death certificate.

This is what I have:

Willis TAylor Attaway had three wives: Rebecca Neal and had the following children: Jeffie and Jessie (twins), Mattie, James Franklin, Daisy.
Married Julia Francis Irwin 2 f3b 1890 and had :
Lemuel, Adda, Maud, George Dewey. I found no children with Golden his third wife. Golden married Garth Loper. Also Francis was married before as the marriage certificate shows her as MRS Francis Lancaster. She had a child with her first husband, I believe her name was Emmie.

Jeffie Attaway had two wives: Minnie Voss and Nancy Davis. With Minnie he had Bill, Majorie, Pauline, Naomi, Geraldine. With Nancy he had: Martha, Mary Joyce (died as child), Nancy Patricia, Francis Ada, Jesse James Taylor, Mattie lou, Rebecca, Alice Clarissa Peggy Jane.
