Ms Ramona, recently while doing some extensive cleaning on our farm in Hahira we found a headstone. Knowing it didn't belong here I set out to find where it should be. Law Enforcement and our local funeral homes were of no help, as their records didn't have any information on the names. About to give up I decided to try a Google search. I was surprised when a link came up to Find a Grave, specifically to your listing from Alderman Cemetery for William A Alderman, and it showed only a grave marker with the initials WAA. If you go to your listing today you will see that I have added another photo as young Williams grave is once again properly marked and his headstone is back where it belongs. In talking with other people that have been associated with this property, in the past, I have found that the headstone showed up here somewhere between 6-10 years ago. We are very happy to have found Find a Grave and your listing.

Please disregard the edit i added for this memorial. I had the wrong person. She is not Rebecca Ann Waldrop Pittman as I had thought. I have no knowledge of this person's birth and death date or her husband as I had previously put in the "edit" . Sorry!

RE: Hancocks
My Hancock lineage is from Georgia. I have only been able to trace my maternal great grandfather back to Quitman, Brooks County, Georgia at this point. I am not sure where they came from prior to 1880.

With regards to the memorial, my apologies, there are duplicate cemeteries so, I deleted the original record and moved it the correct cemetery. So sorry I did not back track to advise you.

Thanks for your help!

Hi, Ramona, I've gladly made the transfer, I know the memorial will be in good hands, by the way my sisters name is Ramona, we call her Mona, I don't go by all the strict rules of find a grave for transfers, if someone is related I don't care how closely I will gladly put a memorial in their hands, glad to have helped, if you need any thing on the Collins surname just ask, Marilyn

Do you know the specific unmarked grave for Harmon H. Crosby at Welcome Hill? If so I would like you to help me firmly identify it for marking. The same applies to Florence Lee Crosby. I am currently seeking similar help from another person regarding the unmarked grave of his mother Emmaline Smithwick Crosby.
Thank you
Ed Hightower

Louisiana is a sister of my great-great-grandfather Daniel James DeVane. If you want to transfer her memorial to me, that would be fine.

Janet Presley
There is another grave beside W.C. and it appears to be Janet. However the inscription has worn away and you can barely read it. There are very faint numbers and letters 58, 40, J T E Y. By this I assume this is Janet. Did not take picture of individual grave but did of the two together.
let me known and I can go back and take Janet's.
Best regards,

I saw the note. I apologize. I thought we were supposed to add the full name if it is known. I guess different people do it different ways! Thanks for adding the burial. It is much appreciated.

Could you please link her to her father's memorial? Memorial# 77633722, John Thomas DeVane. Also, her mother's middle name was Serene, not Screven, according to my records.
