Today I posted a photo of her marker. You are welcome to use it in your family research.

RE: Fish Family
You are welcome. Clara married my paternal grandfather, Milton Halstead and they lived in Spokane WA where he died. He is buried next to her. Dad is 90 but still talking about another class reunion next May. I'll catch that other headstone IF we go.

If/when you do find her somewhere else, don't forget to change the cemetery. Good luck.

I checked again for Comer's and Dayton's in the local cemeteries and there are no Comer's but a few Dayton's in the Lyn Cemetery as follows

Hannah, former wife of A. Coleman, late of Nathan Dayton age 81 yrs. 6 mo.
Abel Coleman d. Apr. 25, 1810 age 45 yrs. 9 mo. 25 da.
Nathan Dayton, Esq., d. Dec. 10, 1840 age 91 yrs. 4 mos.
Dina wife of Nathan Dayton, Esq., who d. in the 68 yrs. of age

Abraham Dayton erected by his wife Olive Dayton

Do you suppose Comer might be someone's interpretation of Coleman?

RE: Hannah Dayton
I can't find her in any of the Leeds County area cemeteries, I went to the Public Library today where they have more cemetery books. Your best bet is to try the area where she was living at the time.
The other thing to try is one of the message boards on
It was such a coincidence that there were two Hannah Dayton's! But, the one here was definitely married to a Coleman, then a Dayton.
Good luck with your search.

RE: Hannah Dayton
In the 1881 census can you tell me where she was living and that might give me a better idea of which Brockville cemetery. I have checked all the ones I have for Brockville for Dayton and Comer even tried to imagine what the transcribers might have written it as but came up with nothing yet.

Hannah Dayton
I found a listing for Hannah Dayton in the Lyn Cemetery book. We were out there tonight looking for some other names and I spotted Abraham Dayton but Hannah was not around. When I got home and checked the book again I found her listed:
In memory of
Hannah former wife of
A. Coleman
late of
Nathan Dayton
81year & 6 mos
(no date)

There is a picture in the book of the stone but I will go back there and find it and get you a picture. You should change the cemetery name for her to Lyn Cemetery.

I have looked through the cemetery listings for all of Oakland Cemetery, including the Old Protestant Cemetery (St. Peter's), the Old Catholic Cemetery (Old St. Francis Xavier), and St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Lyn Road and there is no listing for Hannah Dayton. I also checked the Addendem to the Brockville Cemetery which contains information taken from burial records. What information do you have that suggests a Brockville, Ontario cemetery?

Hi - or
would be the place to send corrections for the Calaveras County Death Index.
I'll go ahead and change place of birth on his memorial page. Send any other info you would like added. Regards, Phyllis

Hi - So happy you found Norman and glad I was able to help.

I don't believe the cemetery has an address. The town is tiny...less than 500 people. There's a post office, fire station, church and the rest is residential. Ironically there are 2 cemeteries. Norman is buried in the larger one, Cemetery #1.

Here are the directions: Take hwy 4, turn south on Main St, Right on Church St. When you pass the church on the right, the street is renamed Cemetery Lane. At the end of the street is the cemetery.

If you look up Vallecito Church on Google Maps, you'll see the cemetery.

Regards, Phyllis

Hello DD,
I'm so glad we were able to help. I don't take credit for this photo, though, as you can read on the photo caption. I did send Gina, who took it, the lovely message you sent.

Hi - I get so many emails I lose track. If you would like a transfer, could you please send the request through the Edit/correction request? This will make sure I transfer the person(s) you want. Thank you

DD, yes, I did just find it :) I added several photos to the original one and deleted mine. There is a max of 5 free photos. I think I got the better ones posted there. Thanks for letting know so I could fix it :)

RE: Wesley Thompson
Hi, can you send me the URL link to it? It's not coming up on a search, which is why I created one. I was taking another photo there and always take others close by to help fill in missing ones. Thanks :) Barbara

I can transfer this memorial to you, if you would like. Also, if you would like a photo of the grave, put in a request.

The above grave was unmarked. I have placed a photo on their memorial of the space where a gravestone should be. They should be above Olive and one space to the left. I put an explanation in the photo's description. If you do not wish this type of photo to be posted on the memorial, let me know and I'll remove it. So sorry it was unmarked. Chris

Your quite welcome. I enjoyed doing it. Now you have a couple of dates that were not exact to work on, there were no ground level markers around the tombstone, so I added what I found.
If you would like the photos emailed to you so you can blow them up and read easier, just let me know. I would be happy to. Chris E.
