I had seen her named Mamie on several occasions. Makes it down right confusing. I think I'm going to drop the name I had (Mary Lodi) which was given to me by another researcher but I've never seen her referred to by that name in any source.

|Terry ||Harry A. White|
Sharon, Harry A. White was my grandfather through his first marriage to my grandmother Lillian Reineke in Cincinnati,Ohio. Their daughter Iva was my mother, he also had a son, Roger, who died when he was sixteen. Harry and my grandmother were probably divorced sometime in the 1940's and he went to live in Washington DC. I have more info on Harry's family and would be willing to share what I have.

|L Niedermeyer||Sherrys in the Congressional Cemetery|
I requested some photos (John William, Charles T., and John Dominick), and Dayle Durrer Dooley (contributor #46570972), who happens to be an archivist at the Congressional Cemetery accepted the requests.
Dayle was able to find John W.'s headstone and added a photo, but reported that the cemetery has no record of Charles T. being buried there, and the plot listed on find a grave for John Dominick has a headstone with the name CAUFIELD on it and nothing else. The cemetery office records confirm that while he is buried in this cemetery, the grave is unmarked and the exact location unknown. This might be worth noting in the memorial.
I was hoping to find out where your information about Charles T. being buried at the Congressional Cemetery came from. Thanks so much for all the work you do!

I'm wondering if you know about the connection of these men:
Find A Grave Memorial# 6551661
Find A Grave Memorial# 88068067
I suspect these two may be the same man, or possibly the second one is NOT the son of John Dominick Sherry.
The records I have found thus far are as follows. Charles (d. 1879) was married to Georgia A. Hinchman abt 1872 and had three children: Charles Albert, Sara Pearl, and Jerome Barton. The 1880 Census in Varina, VA lists Georgia A. Sherry as a widow with the three children above, living in the household of Francis (Marion) Sherry and his wife Rebecca D(allas Hinchman). She was likely a relation to Georgia, as they share a surname). There was also another Hinchman in his late 20's listed in the household. This leads me to think Francis Marion and Charles T. (d. 1879) were the brothers listed in your memorial. Additionally, Jerome's children were named Charles Thomas, Marion Jerome, Sadie Dallas, and Edgar Allen...several of the names match up with the family of John Dominick Sherry. My only confusion is the difference in death date and burial place. Any additional information and insight you have would be appreciated. Thanks!

|LeRoy Krsiean||Thank You|
Thank you for the info to like Robert Kuhne to his parents. I have done so. If you are a relative I am happy to transfer his Memorial. I see Sharla made another of the family Memorials. She probably would also do a transfer if requested. Cheers, Lee.

I believe there were LOTS OF ERRORS on that list I was using. Your 1952 date is correct; my 1954 date was in error. Maybe my eye went to the line above ? or below ? Anyway, the date was changed & now matches your picture.

|Debbie||RE: Re: Ireland|
maybe if you mailed them the list and asked them to mail it back. Their records are a mess so it does take a while to get locations from them.

Baltimore Cemetery is huge, old and has never shared their records with anyone. A large percentage of the standing markers are hard to read to completely blank. The cemetery's policy in the early 1900's was to remove a marker if the family stopped paying for maintenance. I completely lucked out with the Michel lot, since there was a very readable marker and it was near the street. There are 84 requests because the cemetery only answers 2 requests at a time. It really helps if the family of some of those Find A Grave requests could get locations, the requests would get filled faster. I will have them check for the Irelands when I get back over there. We're in the middle of a storm, so I'm going to need to wait for the ground to dry out.

Sharon: You got me to dig out a 2009 issue of the St. Mary's Co. Genealogical Society "Generator" for an essay on the family of Ada Ramsey Bartol's in-laws: her husband's family. I linked her to her parents at St. Mary of the Assumption in Pylesville & made all the additions & links that I could from the article to Alfred "Tick" Gough's family. Thank you very much for getting me to do this - I knew we had published something on this family - just had to find it.
