RE: Find A Grave Memorial# 143585368
Hello,

I did not find a grave marker for Johann Mankowski at Evergreen Cemetery nor was I able to find a marker at the Town of Almon Cemetery and I have completely photographed both. The burial record at the local historical society listed him as buried at Evergreen Cemetery but the obituary states Town of Almon. I am no relation to the family and would be happy to remove the memorial in Evergreen Cemetery.

Please let me know what you think is best.

Thank you,
Ash

Little E E Sweeney was my g-grandfather's sister.

Her parents are William Clayton Sweeney (Swinney), Find A Grave Memorial# 88947700, and, Eugenia Maria Hutchins, Find A Grave Memorial# 88947812. (Per her death certificate, Eugenia is buried in Cumming, Georgia; perhaps with her husband).

I visited the Cumming City Cemetery 10-15 years ago and took photos. E E Sweeney's gravestone is next to William Clayton Sweeney's.

If you could update E E Sweeney's Find A Grave Memorial page, I would be grateful.

Appreciatively,
K A Ziha

Beck/Sissons/Roper
Thanks, again for all you do. I have just learned in the last few weeks, because of Ancestry.DNA, of my Beck/Sissons/Roper connection. What was a blank canvas past 1890 on that line, is now being filled in with many colors. Our paths have already crossed on Townsends, Pattersons, and who knows what other line. And, I have enjoyed thoroughly doing my Ancestry. D-Ray

Hi
I have just noticed your 'virtual flower' message posted on the Find A Grave page I created for Penny Adele Neller née Auclair :

Candle left in remembrance of my 2nd cousin.

I hope you like the memorial and the new photo of her grave marker posted a few days ago by Kathleen Groves and wonder if you could tell me exactly where Penny was born and died so that I may update her page.
Thanks and regards,
David Neller

Namon Beck Correction
Hello, I have a correction on Namon Beck. He was raised by his Grandmother and her name is Elmira Adeline Beck Gayton #14469659. It currently states that he was raised by Mandy Beck, but that is his Mother and she passed away at a young age.

I am trying to locate the grave of Namon's father, Jeffrey Beck. He was my GG Grandfather. His is not buried with Mandy Beck, nor his second wife Cassandra Beck. Do you have any information on where he is buried? Any info would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Peggy Travis

Hi - just waned to let you know Lillie Mae Parker McDougal and James Parker also have another sister buried at Long Swamp. Her name is Ida Parker and she died around age two months.

They also have two brothers Fred Parker and Alfred Parker buried at Sharptop Baptist just a few miles away from Long Swamp.

Thanks Brian

Jeff Lovelace
Pauline Self
Hi,
I have removed the surname Russell, which was Pauline's first husband's name from the middle name text box. Find A Grave does not provide us with a text box for applying multiple married names, therefore the last name she carried is the proper name that goes in the last name text box. I have seen contributor's try to add two names to a text box and allow a space between each name in the text box and this causes major problems. If you go to search for someone named Self and the name is listed as Russell Self, the Find A Grave system will not find the person when you institute a search for them. There can only be one name in the last name text box. The obituary is the place to list multiple names, which I have followed accordingly.
Thanks

I'm not done with you yet. I'm pulling every DC I can find for Jackson county Johnson's and making sure they're in my system. This is going to take some time. I'm working with another lady too for a Lewis Johnson in that area. So it should help both of you.

RE: Matthew J Rumsey
As you may remember, Matthew is my gggrandfather. I've been doing research on him for 20 years now and have never seen any documentation, even that he himself wrote, that listed his middle name at all, much less as Joseph. May I ask that you remove it since you do not have a source. Many people are copying it from this web sight as 'God's truth' since it is in writing. =)

I believe that genealogical rules state that in transcribing a tombstone, or any documents, etc. that one write exactly what is listed on the source...correct?

Please forgive me if I sound brash, I certainly don't mean to, I'm just a stickler for facts when it comes to genealogy and sources. =)

Thanks!!
Lorrie

Hi. Long time no talk. I think I've asked before, but would like to do so again as I can't remember your answer. What source do you have for Matthew's middle name being Joseph? I've never seen it other than on your information.

Thanks,
Lorrie Parham Burns

Enoch and Violet Patterson
Enoch and Violet are buried at Lebanon Baptist Cemetery. We replaced the marker with the larger up-date one as shown. Enoch had a grandson buried at Mobile. Many of the earlier Pattersons are buried at Lebanon. I lived about 1 mile of the cemetery and have seen the graves many times. In fact my dad bought some of the old Enoch's land at Mobile. I don't know for what reason they chose Lebanon as they lived close to Mobile unless Mobile church was created much later than Lebanon or that they had earlier relatives buried there. Nevil Early and wife Nancy were for some reason living near Enoch and Violet in most of my research. They are all buried at Lebanon close together. I have corresponded with Cecilia and she did not live in the area as I did. I don't ever recall finding Enoch and Violet living in Union CO GA. They were in SC before coming to Gilmer CO GA later the part they lived in became Fannin. Enoch is mentioned in a estate settlement in Gainsville, GA.
